The Adventure of Jack and Jane

Introduction
On a quiet winter evening in 1988 in Florida (USA) two friends were having
tea. They were best friends and neighbors. They were having a long
conversation. These friends were very close. Her name was Jane and his was
Jack. She was one of three sisters and living with their parents. They were
always working and they stayed with an aunt whose name was Rebecca, with
whom she had a special and difficult relationship. This aunt was 60 years old.
That evening she and Jack had a sincere and long conversation. Jack was the
youngest of three brothers and he is very intelligent. His family was full of
rules and this made life very difficult for him because he wanted a different
kind of life.
During this conversation they decide lo leave and look for a new life because
Jane´s life was very difficult with her aunt Rebecca who questioned her all the
time.

Conflict
In this conversation both complain about their situation and after talking
about it they decide to get their backpacks and try for a new and
independent life without people causing limitations and suffering.
After a while she accepts. They were not happy so they decide to leave. They
take their backpacks and go away to start an adventure. Jack and Jane stole
form their families enough money to survive. They walked to the train station
without a destination in mind. At the station they were recognized by a
policeman who sits exactly by the train door. This causes them a big problem.
This was the last train leaving that day., so they had no other option but to
get on the train dressed with clothes they bought from a homeless person.
The policeman realizes that they were well educated persons dressed very
poorly with the clothes they bought. The Policeman told them that they
should come with him. They opposed him and hid on the train.
Climax
They took the risk of climbing to the top of the train carts so they were not
trapped, and they were free to make their dreams come true. The Policeman
searches for them but could not find them. They were hiding but something
would happen that would give them away. The police made efforts to find
them. At the next station someone advises that they have found some
clothes in very good shape. The police goes in search of them as the clothes
would belong to Jack and Jane.
They were able to scape from the police in the next station and they left the
train in a town called Nashville.

Resolution
This was a very quiet town where they got simple jobs, like washing dishes.
Jack did the washing and Jane did the cleaning of houses. With this they were
able to survive. A friend of Jack called Tom gets them a place to live in,
inexpensive but acceptable. Even thou they had little money and no luxuries
they were happy about leaving behind their previous life, as both were
affected by having no independence and may limitations.
As a result of this experience, they realized they were able to fight the
challenges that life presents because they acted bravely.
