science of happiness suggests we should do exactly the opposite.

5 The next task, though, is to convince us all to change the way we live.

Environment

Every person needs to be surrounded by positive, goal-oriented, self-realized people who know how to
enjoy life, because such people can usually call themselves happy. Happiness is like a virus: if you are
surrounded by happy people, you will feel it too. You will have the opposite effect if you are surrounded by
negative and toxic people. Communication with them will make you feel depressed and weak-willed.
Therefore, it is worth getting yourself a few happy people who will really radiate happiness next to you. It is
worth forgetting about people who will not be able to give you anything but negativity.

Give up your cell phone

It is impossible to imagine a person who does not talk on the phone for whole days. But on some days it is
important to forget about the phone and all kinds of gadgets and devote time to yourself. During this time,
you can take a walk in nature, meditate, spend time with your family, read a useful book for self-
development, do sports, ride a bike, cook a delicious dinner, etc. Each of these points will help you relax,
relieve stress, enjoy the fresh air, put your thoughts in order and balance yourself a little psychologically.
Psychologists say that these simple things will definitely help you find the way to happiness.

Don't be afraid to be happy

Many people are simply afraid to be happy. After all, it is necessary to get rid of bad habits, destructive
attitudes to which a person is simply accustomed and which do not allow him to be happy. Therefore, many
people do not know what makes them happy. I advise you to be more interested in yourself and your
feelings, thoughts, whims. You should not be afraid to open new paths to happiness, because happiness is
not something directly grandiose, happiness is manifested in small things that we often do not want to
notice. Make yourself happy and share it with others, then the world will become a little happier.
