SED TUTORIAL CLASSES SEMESTRAL REPORT
Title of the Program: School of Education (SEd) – Extension Project

Objectives of the Extension Program of the School of Education

In response to the vision of the College and that of the Research and Extension Department, the
School of Education primarily based its extension program on basic literacy, health concerns, and
self-sustainability for the beneficiaries to be a productive citizen of the community.

Students and faculty from both the biological and physical sciences are set to help selected
communities by giving tutorial lessons on science including the need to adopt measures in minimizing
environmental problems.

Mathematics students and faculty are concerned with teaching basic mathematics and the use of
calculators in elementary, high school, out-of –school youths (drop-outs) in selected barangays.

Social Studies is focused on delivering knowledge about local geography, civics and culture and
Philippine history. All of these will prepare them to become good citizens of their community as well as their
country.

Technology and Livelihood Education extensionists aim to help the populace in selected areas
develop/process the indigenous resources of the province to a useful product that would benefit the latter
financially. Furthermore, they are there to alleviate the condition of the malnourished young generation in the
place.

MAPHE extension services geared towards introducing to Marindukanons native folk songs, dances
and sports which can be used for recreational, social and health purposes.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-2018 SED EXTENSION PROJECT (Tutorial Classes) IMPLEMENTATION

The MSC-SED Extension “Tutorial Classes” is on its 10th year of implementation after its approval of
trustees on June, 2007. Through these years, many schools were already benefited by the extension services
(Elementary & Secondary School).
This first semester of AY 2017-2018, the conduct of the activities started only on October 4, 2017 and
ended on November 15, 2017 with only 4 sessions being held. The reason for the limited sessions made is
due to lack of personnel to manage the extension activity, and the MOA is still in process and subject for
renewal.
Continuation of the activity is requested by the principal and teachers of the school to help them
improve the performance of their pupil in the class and every examination which is given by the Department
of Education.
Though only limited sessions, the activity was successfully done.

THE OLD MAN’S TALE place
It was the same day of the first time they have met
Zer Jerome J. Villafuerte
The man’s big day was wiped and filled with pain
There was an old man in the city As he heard this big bad news
A man of laughter and stories That his love has passed this noon, it’s painful, it
hurts
One night he tells about a man on a journey
Finding his way out of his misery
If only he could turn back time
He will save his girl with his life
As he begin to find his words to start the story
But suddenly the old man paused
He took one long deep breath
For a while, then I looked in to his eyes

It was a bright and shiny day, a perfect time and

place For they are wet, by tears shed upon him
It was the same day of the first time they have met And then I thought it was him… and he said…
The man had a girl, and it’s their big great day
A great day that no one thought It was a bright and shiny day, a perfect time and
place
It’ll be the day of someone’s loss, and so the story
goes It was the same day of the first time we had met
I once had a girl and I’m about to say
The man is patiently waiting That if she would marry me
It was about time but the girl was never seen But I was too late, she’s gone away
Thrice an hour had passed, still they’ve never met “I am sorry”, it’s all I have said… to the old man’s
tale
And now sullen he had turned.

It’s the old man’s tale

Instead of his girl, he saw a friend coming
It’s the old man’s tale
Something he has to know

WORDS OF FAREWELL FOR ALL THE THINGS

Zer Jerome J. Villafuerte Ronamel S. Malco

This is my song for you, and for you alone For the laughs I had because of you
For all the good mem’ries you’ve been with me For the tears I’ve cried out of the blue
For the happiness and the loveliness For the memories we’ve shared that’s old and new
You brought into my life, I’m so lucky to find For the promises broken, with regrets too.
Someone like you in my life
And I’m grateful to have you For the person I used to call mine
But this time has come to an end, so goodbye For this poem with a stupid rhyme
For the hearts that beat as one
I hate to say this word, but I have to For the dreams that are finally done.
It’s hard for me to tell, and it’s painful
This is the day, I’ll be away For the sleepless nights that made me sick
But don’t worry I’ll be okay For the careless words that made me weak
So wipe off the tears in your eyes, I don’t want to For the hello that turned to goodbye
see you cry
For the decision that asked me “Why?”
I have to go so I bid goodbye

For the person I used to love

Maybe I’m far from you, you’re away from me
For the happy life that we both had
But our love will find connection rom your heart to
For the wrong timing we’ve been through
mine
For another story that may come true.
I’ll remember you, whenever I go
Always and forever I love you

Please be happy, don’t be sad

I’ll be sorry to leave you
Accept the truth for now that I’m gone

Maybe someday, we’ll meet again

To bring back our love, we’ll find a way
When the right time comes, all tears will be gone
We’re both ready to give love and trust
I hope someday, someday

I have to go…
Hear the words of farewell of mine.
