PRAYERS

November 6

Military Services – Lord Jesus, we pray for WELS military members and their families. Guide and protect them as they
sacrifice the stability and comfort that most of us enjoy to protect our nation. Thank you for WELS Military Services, which
provides these families with spiritual resources and personal connections. Guide and bless the efforts of the civilian chaplains
and military contact pastors who lead this work. May these efforts ease the stresses of military life and help our WELS
military service members to put their trust in you. Amen.

November 13

Zambia – Loving Lord, whose message of peace goes out to all the world, bless our brothers and sisters in the Lutheran
Church of Central Africa – Zambia synod. Work through the gospel preached by their pastors. Deepen the understanding of
the Word for teachers and students at the Bible institute and seminary. Be with Missionaries Foxen and Dowling and their
families as they adjust to life in a new country and continent and bless them as they assist in training more messengers of your
peace. Amen.

November 20

Christian Aid and Relief – “I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you
came to visit me.” With these words, Lord, you describe your people’s life as one that is filled with works of compassion.
Bless the work of WELS Christian Aid and Relief as they carry out these compassionate works on our behalf. Move us to
consider how we may help those in need with our prayers, time, talents, and financial support. Lord, bring relief to all who are
suffering, in need, or in danger through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

November 27

St. Peter, Milwaukee, Wis. – “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” This confession by St. Peter is the foundation of
the Church and the solid rock upon which believers build their lives. Lord, empower the members and ministers of St.
Peter/San Pedro Lutheran Church in Milwaukee as they reach out to their neighbors who come from many backgrounds. Give
them joy as they work together as brothers and sisters to bring many more to build their lives on Christ, who is the solid rock.
Amen.
