Dynamic Routing

Dynamic routing protocols have been used in networks since the late 1980s. One of the first
routing protocols was Routing Information Protocol (RIP). RIP version 1 (RIPv1) was
released in 1988.As networks evolved and became more complex, new routing protocols
emerged. The RIP routing protocol was updated to accommodate growth in the network
environment, into RIPv2.

Dynamic Routing[RIP]
Router(config)#router <Protocol Name>
Router(config-router)#network <Directly connected all network addresses>

Exercise 1

Use Dynamic routing for protocol for network configuration. Last week you learn static routing
configuration.

Routing Configuration

1| Semester 2, Level 2 2016

1) Design the above network using Packet Tracer simulator.

2) Assign suitable IP addresses for all the interfaces of all the routers and PCs of the above
network by using given network address.

3) Use ping command to check the connectivity.

4) After designing network try out send packet to other LAN using dynamic routing.
