If you were given a chance to be a apart of an experimental research study regarding a new

exercise treatment for patients with congenital heart diseases. How will you observe scientific
integrity in the entire curse of your research.

Scientific integrity means to have or use values such as honesty and objectivity, on performing a
research, following rules and not being biased in doing so, respecting people and their rights
and preventing actions such as fabrication, plagiarism, producing fake data and misinformation
and errors. For me, the criteria for scientific integrity about their experimental research is when
they have given me all the information that I need to know regarding the said experiment, that
they would provide a document where I can have an access on the whole process of what will
be happening on the research, and what should we expect. Another is that they should provide
or inform us the adverse effects or the side effects of the research and the benefits. They should
ask me for my permission before adding me as their participant, and not being able to force me
to engage without me approving to their request or invitation. Them being able to acknowledge
me as a person and my human rights, and respecting me. Being able to make sure that I have
understood the process, and follow what they’ve told me. Not doing things that they didn’t tell
me and not hiding information from me. They made sure that I am safe, and protected my
identity. I will see that what they’ve recorded are in the research output, and be able to
reimburse the money that we’ve provided in the whole research process, and to be able to take
into account if ever a bad thing happens. Them being able to acknowledge us and all the
contributors in the research, being able to be honest on the outcomes that have happened on
the research. Lastly, to give us the final output to verify the research if everything that has been
written there is true.
