ETHICS 1

"... The young learn them by tradition, imitation, and authority. The folkways, at a time, provide
for all the needs of life then and there."
William G. Sumner, "The Case for Ethical Relativism" p.497

We learn norms in a variety of settings and from various people, including our family. I
always believe that we are the products of our parents up-bringing and our parents are
products of our grandparents parenting. Like how we're brought up by our parents and
what we believe is right and wrong, our beliefs are as relative thus, affecting the way be
perceive life and understand the world. My understanding of life and my way of
philosophizing are unique but that does not mean it’s permanent because it changes as my
morality develops as I go through different adversities and meet various people.
