Doctor of Nursing on Healthcare and Leadership. Medical Research Archives, 6(4).

https://doi.org/10.18103/mra.v6i4.1734

This article demonstrates leadership strategies to evaluate patient care and health care

policies at several levels. The report does not provide a strong argument on the applications of

the models explained due to the small sample size used. However, the research revealed a great

scope in identifying the strengths of the nurse leader. This serves as a great asset to the nurse

leaders in helping them to retain the nurses. In my evaluation of the study, I adored the

suggestions articulated by the article on how nurse leaders play a crucial role in keeping nurses

through practicing advanced leadership techniques in nursing. The subject is vital since it shows

how nurse leaders can retain pediatric nurses being the most complex subject.

business. International nursing review, 66(2), 147-150. https://doi.org/10.1111/inr.12523

This article explains the leadership strengths that need to be formulated by nurse leaders

in their nursing profession. Nurses play an essential role in the clinical setting, and they

exemplify leadership in most instances where they carry out activities and implement decisions

made by others. Despite possessing leadership knowledge and skills, this article reveals that most

are not given a fairground to articulate their leadership roles. However, nurse leaders have

significant leadership roles, including encouraging the development of nurse roles and

maintaining the health policy. Generally, this is a resourceful article that emphasizes the

teamwork roles in the nursing field under leadership.

context. Nursing administration quarterly, 44(2), 109-116.

This study projected the use of complex leadership design in working within a complex

health care environment. The main objective was to determine the viability of the leadership

strategies applied within health care organizations. It presents the leadership ideas that need to

replace the traditional leadership model using the concept of "do things better," which replaces

the former model of doing more with less. The article emphasizes the importance of this

approach in keeping the staff healthy, which is the strength of this article in this context. This is a

great leadership resource for nurse leaders, and its primary gospel is valuing the welfare of both

the patients and practicing leaders in the nursing community.

Introduction

Nurse leaders play a crucial role in the clinical environment by safeguarding the welfare

of their staff and that of the patient by using friendly and effective leadership approaches. This

essay seeks to analyze how nurse leaders have a definite responsibility of sharing the

organization's vision and leading the organization to work towards achieving the same through

an active partnership with physician colleagues and enhancing a patient-centered environment.

Topic sentence 1

As a leader in the nursing sector, several responsibilities come along with the leadership

title.

Evidence 1

The expectations of their staff should match those set by the leaders themselves. Nurse

leaders should have leadership qualities to be emulated by their staff hence should always lead

by example.

Topic sentence 2

The nurse leaders are to be guided by strong moral values, which will have positively

impact the organization on a bigger picture and the consequences at a smaller level. The nurse

Evidence 2
5

According to Uhl-Bien et al. (2020), nurse leaders need to use simple leadership

approaches to replace bureaucratic leadership, often used in the complex healthcare environment.

Due to an increase in the change in the nurse leaders' roles and the shortage of nurses, it is crucial

to have leadership education for nurses.

Topic Sentence 3

The healthcare profession is a dynamic field that requires the leaders in the system also to

follow the trend.

Evidence 3

The idea is not to "do more with less" but to "do things better" thus there should be more

involvement in in the continuous training for nurses. Leaders should comply to change and be

flexible enough to apply new leadership approaches in their respective organizations (Heller et

al., 2018).

Conclusion

In summary, good nurse leaders play the crucial role of positively impacting the lives of

others as they lead by example. However, apart from the administrative roles of nurse leaders,

there are other leadership roles at their predisposition.
