Nursing Issues

How nurses are portrayed in the media affects how patients view them as authoritative

characters. In general, there is a lot more negative and positive media coverage of nurses.

Because of this, it is essential for the nurse to act decently in all situations. The media,

especially social media, has a greater focus on nurses and is continually prepared to inform

the public of both the positive and negative things nurses do. The media periodically tells the

truth while also deceiving the audience about the facts they present. Patients may therefore

view various nurses differently depending on the information they know about them or have

access to through social media. As a result, before ever receiving care from a particular nurse,

patients may see and judge them differently. Finding some of the best strategies for

promoting nurses' positive image to the general public is therefore crucial. Involving the

public in the development of public health initiatives and educating the public about the

benefits of or positive perception of nurses in such programs are some of the tactics that

should be implemented. Making sure the general public participates in nursing events or

programs is one of your other duties.

The various roles that nurses can play to ensure that the nursing image is truly

supported include: providing equal treatment to all members - nurses should ensure that each

and every person within the public receives equal treatment, i.e., no one should be

underserved because they are regarded as a minority or because of their current status, levels,

or health conditions, nurses should ensure that no one is underserved because of their current

status, levels, or health conditions, nurses should ensure that no one is underserved.
