Safe and quality nursing care – As a student nurse I will serve the client what they need and
prioritize their safety, I have to do what they need to prevent errors and to make sure that the
client is far from harm.
2. Managing resources – as a student nurse we have to make sure that we manage all our
resources well, we have to know how to sustain limited resources.
3. Health education – As a student nurse I can help my family and friends to be more
knowledgeable about health specially in this times that we have pandemic.
4. Legal responsibilities – as a student nurse we have to make sure that we follow the agency
policy and make sure that we follow the law regarding the rights and privacy of our client.eg
5. Ethico-morale responsibility- nurses and patients makes a decision and their decision is
respected by others.
6. Personal and professional development – as a student nurse we have to asses our own skills and
learn more about our roles, we also have to consider our own goals in life
7. Quality improvement- as a first-year student nurses we are improving our skills, knowledge and
experience as we step up to a higher year level
8. Research- research is important to us nurses because it is used to keep us updated about the
current issues about health.
9. Records management – it is a duty of a nurse to keep and maintain all the records organized and
keep it clean and safe.
10. Communication – as a student nurse we have to exercise our communication skills because it
will help us when dealing with a client and help us communicate with the physician and other
co-workers.
11. Collaboration and teamwork- collaboration and teamwork helps improve patient outcome and
helps reduce errors. It also helps in improve staff relationships and improves communication
between co-workers
