RESEARCH PLAN

The SARS-CoV-2 virus that caused COVID-19 has changed the world recently. The pandemic
harmed many aspects of health. Globally, low- and middle-income countries felt the effects (LMIC).
Since the pandemic, people's interactions with their surroundings have changed dramatically. Limiting
transmission, protecting vulnerable populations, and maintaining an effective health care system will all
help countries recover. It has saved millions of lives since its inception. Vaccination is a big step forward
in primary health. It took two years to immunize the world against COVID-19. Efficacy and distribution of
the COVID-19 vaccine remain concerns. High-income countries vaccinate at least ten times more than
low-income countries like the Philippines. One of the global health challenges is the lack of consistency
and support for LMICs. Recently, the COVID-19 vaccine was given to 64.2% of the world's population.
Globally, 11.6 billion doses have been deployed, with 15.63 million doses daily. Only 14.4% of LMICs
have received one dose. Ritchie et al Total vaccinations in the Philippines: 65.25 million A second
vaccination dose was given to an estimated 70.38 million people. Tipp (2022) The public's resistance to
the COVID-19 vaccine is growing. The NCIP reports that over a million IPs have been immunized against
COVID-19. The Philippines has immunized 172,452 Ips from 110 ethnolinguistic groups. Anxiety over the
COVID-19 vaccine is understandable (UNDP, 2022). Immunization uncertainty (b) despite relevant
sources, most people do not believe the information (Mendoza et. al, 2021) Vaccination's risks are
exaggerated while its benefits are understated. (Cho et al, 2021) The study examines the factors that
contribute to vaccine apprehension in the COVID-19 era.

Research Question. What factors contribute to Indigenous Peoples' apprehension of vaccination during
the COVID-19 era? The purpose of the study is to find out what indigenous peoples think about COVID-
19 vaccination and how they feel about it.

Research hypothesis. Indigenous people's vaccination apprehension is positively correlated with the
factors discussed.

METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH

Research Design. The research begins with a review of the literature. The purpose of this study is to
examine the evidence regarding the factors that contribute to Indigenous Peoples' fear of vaccination
during the COVID-19 era. The method is broad in scope and would examine a variety of studies and
facets of the subject. Integrative review is a method for conducting specific literature reviews. The style
summarizes existing knowledge, conducts a critical review, and then reconceptualizes and expands the
topic's theoretical foundation. The research will make use of several databases to locate pertinent
articles on the subject.

Data Collection. The data collection process will focus on qualitative findings from various articles. Case
studies of treaties and violations provide valuable qualitative information about the research question.
Indigenous Peoples / groups were interviewed to provide pertinent secondary data. The data collected
will be coded and categorized into themes to aid in the comprehension of the expressed perspectives
and to aid in the exploration of the research question and the generation of insights.

Data Analysis. Integrated research will necessitate a combined analysis of data from within and
between studies. Within-study analysis of the contents of selected articles will include an examination of
the contents of specific work publications. The analysis will include a thorough discussion of each
component, including the literature review, conceptual maps, procedures followed, and results and
discussion sections. The between-study analysis will involve comparing and contrasting information
from various sources in order to generate overlapping, insightful concepts. The researchers intend to
strictly adhere to the provisions of the 2012 Data Privacy Act.
