Large-scale businesses began to develop in the second half of the


1800s, creating business empires on the foundation of the Industrial
Revolution.
The invention of electricity and the introduction of the mass
production and assembly line mark the start of the Second Industrial
Revolution in the 19th century.
Making the same product repeatedly along an assembly line is
known as mass production. 
The concept of mass manufacturing was borrowed by Henry Ford.
