Dekota Osceola
Tocobaga Tribe Dr, Tampa, Florida 33355
The Great Reservation

Dear Dekota Osceola,

Our company has recently bought some property that is located near the Great
Reservation. We have recently received from feedback from your tribe that the trees in this
area are significant to your culture. We are going to be resurfacing land in this area soon
and we want to avoid as much of the meaningful trees as possible. Unfortunately, there is a
possibility that some of the trees will get cut down. If you are not familiar with our
company, we are a funeral home that offers a lot of funeral services such as burial plots in
the cemeteries. This means that our company needs as much land as possible to create free
space to build things like our roadway. The purpose of the road is to help community
members get their children to school quicker and more directly.

We would like to set up a meeting with you as soon as possible to discuss the situation.
This will help us understand each other’s point of view in order to come to an agreement.
We respect your cultural believes and want to make both sides happy. The goal is to create
as much land as possible in order to run our business without affecting the trees that belong
to your tribe. Looking forward to meeting you and learning about the history of your
culture. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Project Manager, Luis Burgos

The plan is to be completely ready for business by

February.
• We are proposing a deal with the landscape company to plan and execute this
project in order to help expand our established business of Memory Acres.
• It is a funeral home company that offers a lot of funeral services such as burial plots
in the cemeteries they own.
• A similar layout to our other location is recommended.

Tree Removal
• Cut all the trees on the West side.
• Leave the trees near the border of The Great Reservation.
• Have all the grass removed in the area of where the trees were at.

Land Resurfacing
• Have a road that runs through the bottom of the property for the community
members.
• Leave about 5 acres of flat land on the left side of the road.
• Have flowers that border the roads.

I am looking forward to working with this company again and hoping we can design the
area to our liking. In order to create space, we need to remove trees in an area so we can
resurface the land. We can set up a meeting to go over prices and the layouts and designs.
Call us if there are any question, our company number is 813-111-2222.

Subject: New Available land

Dear Memory Acres’ executive board,

I am a project manager for Memory Acres and I think we should explore our options of
getting new land in the Tampa, Florida area. There is some vacant land that is in the Tampa area that
I think would be a great opportunity for us to buy. This place that just became available is near our
previous purchase of land and it is a bigger area. The price is slightly higher than what we paid for
our recent purchase but I think it is worth it because it’s around our price range especially for the size
of it. I have a link to the property if you would like to see it yourself. The only problem is that the
land is near private land of the Tocobaga Tribe. We might have to cut down some trees in that area
but some of the tress there have cultural significance to them. I can send an email to the Chairman of
the Tribal Council, Dekota Oscelo, and we can schedule a meeting to talk about it. Hopefully we can
get this deal done and contact me if your interested in this area.

Thank you for your time,

Luis Burgos
