Speechless

So, here I will talk about speechless song from the Aladdin movie. This is the lyric from the song in

the movie Written in stone ev’ry rule ev’ry world. Centuries old and unbending. Stay in your place

better seen than not heard. Well, now that story is ending. Cause I, I cannot start to crumble. So

come on an try, Try to shut me and cut me down. I won’t be silenced, You can’t keep me quite.

Won’t tremble when you trying, All I know is I won’t go speechless, Speechless. Let the storm in, I

cannot be broken. No, I won’t live unspoken, Cause I know that I won’t go speechless. Try to lock me

in this cage, I won’t just lay me down and die. I will take these broken wings and watch me burn

across the sky, here the echo saying I won’t be silenced. Though you wanna see me tremble when

you try it All I know is I won’t go speechless, Speechless. Cause I’ll breath when they try to suffocate

me, don’t you underestimate me. Cause I know that I won’t go speechless, all I know is I wont go

speechless, speechless. So, from the lyric we can see that Jasmin as the princess cannot do anything.

From the first lyric, we can see that there were a word saying “better seen than not heard”. Which
means in Jasmin’s case is they acknowledge Jasmin but they never want to know what Jasmin had in

her mind. In the lyric “So come on an try, Try to shut me and cut me down. I won’t be silenced, You

can’t keep me quite. Won’t tremble when you trying, All I know is I won’t go speechless,

Speechless.” In this lyric, she said to all of them that they can come and try to shut her mouth, but

they have to know that they can’t keep her silent and she won’t stay silent without saying anything.

In the lyric “let the storm in, I cannot be broken. No, I won’t live unspoken, Cause I know that I won’t

go speechless”. speechless”. Eventhough problem comes, they cannot stop her and she won’t live

unspoken because she know that she won’t stay silent. in lyric “Try to lock me in this cage, I won’t

just lay me down and die.” Eventhough everybody tries to lock her, she won’t just stay silent until

she dies. Also from the tone of some of the lyrics, Jasmin sing it very loud because she wants

everybody to know that she won’t stay silent because she has lots of things to say. Also Jasmin as a

princess could not speak about war and also she is not allowed to be a sultan because she was a girl.
