1. Injuria Sine Damnum- Violation of legal right without causing any harm
2. Damnum Sine Injuria- Harm without violation of legal right
3. Ex turpi causa non aritur action- an action does not arise from an immoral cause
4. Volenti non fit injuria- who voluntarily agrees to suffer is not allowed to complain for
that
5. Scienti non fit injuria- Mere knowledge of the risk is not enough
6. Force majeure- superior force
7. Vis major- Act of God
8. Res ipsa loquitur- things speak for itself
9. In Jure non remota causa sed proxima spectator- in law, the immediate & proximate, not
remote cause must be considered.

another
13. Qui facit alium facit per se- he who does an at through another is deemed in law to do it
by himself

15. Restitution in integram- restoration to the previous position
16. Ubi jus ibi remedium- where there is a right there is a remedy
17. Salus populi suprema lex- the welfare of the people is the supreme law
