PPD, 2022-23, S1, Workshop 3 – Time Management (TM)

The aim of Workshop 3 is to help you to improve your time management skills as a group
and as an individual. For preparation, you will work through the time management exercises
(in the lecture activity session and your tutorial).

Your group task for Workshop 3 (WS3) is to create and post (on the video presentation page
of your group website) a group video artefact reflecting the Time Management problems you
all have individually and as a group - and how you can improve these to work more
effectively as a group/team.

Your individual task for Workshop 3 is to complete the Time Management & Productive
Work: Notes and Activities handout and post a completed copy of Exercise 4 and your
Time Management Action Plan (TMAP) on your personal page in your group portfolio.

Time Management – key terms

There are several key terms (often related) that we need to understand about productive work
so that we can manage our time more effectively.

1. Productive versus Busy – affected by:

a. Indecision & Delay
b. Paralyzing Perfectionism
c. Setting unchallenging objectives
2. Procrastination
3. Urgency versus Importance
4. Prioritization

Summary:
1. Create and post a group video artefact reflecting the Time Management problems you
