Exercise 4: Action Plan (for WS3)

Complete the following Time Management (TM) action plan. You should keep this
handout as you will need to complete it for your Professional Development Plan
(Professional Artefacts section).

(I.) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1= no problem, 10=big problems), I would rate my TM skills


as follows:

Note: These improvements will represent your overall goals for completing your TM
Plan. You should have one detailed objective for each overall goal.
Note: Be sure your detailed objectives are SMART - specific, measurable, attainable,
realistic and time-bound.

Make notes and do rough work on separate paper before completing your TM plan.
(III.) Complete your TM plan (with objectives, methods, timescale and monitor &
review) to attain these improvements.
Note – if you just write something like “Make a to do list” you will receive a low mark
Make sure your monitor and review sections do provide suitable processes for monitoring
your progress (i.e. during the method) and reviewing your outcome (i.e. at the end of the
method).
