As a child, Ali had left his mother in New York, so he had to take care of his father,
who had a stroke. At 19, he decided to go to Jakarta and look for his mother in New
York. In New York, he met four immigrant women from Indonesia who worked there.
The four women helped Ali to find his mother. They offered their empty room to Ali.
Ali's journey began to look for his mother. He asked here and there and finally found
the address of his mother's house. It turned out that when he arrived, his mother
pretended not to know Ali.
Ali returned to the rented house disappointed that his mother had forgotten him, but
he did not give up hope to still meeting his mother.
In the end, his mother decided to meet Ali at a cafe and told Ali that he could not
return to Indonesia because he already had family in New York. Ali was very
disappointed, and finally, he decided to stay in New York with four immigrant women
from Indonesia to open a food stall business.
