II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

RATIONALE

Human rights in the Philippines are protected by the Constitution of the Philippines, to make


sure that persons in the Philippines are able to live peacefully and with dignity, safe from the
abuse of any individuals or institutions, including the state while Article III of the Philippine
Constitution is the Bill of Rights. It establishes the relationship of the individual to the State
and defines the rights of the individual by limiting the lawful powers of the State. It is one of
the most important political achievements of the Filipinos.

OBJECTIVES

1. To enhance their knowledge on human rights and bill of rights under 1987 Philippine
constitution
2. To objective of this seminar of to provide them with an accurate information and
understanding with regards to the human rights and bill of rights under 1987
Philippine constitution.

EXPECTED OUTPUT

The overall impact of this activity is to provide the participants with a better and deepen
understanding to the human rights and bill of rights under 1987 Philippine constitution to
develop their knowledge which will foster a growth mindset, providing constructive feedback
that leads to changes in their behavior and gaining insights necessary to successfully
applying the skills they gained during the seminar.

MECHANICS

1. A total of 50 participants are expected to attend the Seminar on Human rights and
Bill of rights under 1987 Philippine constitution and Local legislation
2. The topics that are going to discuss is more on human rights, bill of rights and local
legislation.
