1) Why is business analysis the core of every project?
Problems with requirements can cause projects to fail. In most cases those problems are caused by poor or incorrectly conducted Business Analysis (especially Requirements Engineering, a part of the Business Analysis knowledge area). Common problems - Unclear, impossible, contradictory business requirements - Instability of the requirements - Poor translation of the business needs to requirements - Unclear objectives of the initiative - Communication problems - Language barriers - Knowledge barriers - Vague wording - Adding unnecessary scope - Insufficient user involvement - Overlooked user classes - Minimal specification Consequences of low quality BA - Problems during scope definition…..etc. So, we need to do business analysis by collect and document the requirements to design business solutions, resolve the business problems and assist in the timely completion of the project by providing accurate requirements identification and analysis Improve efficiency by increasing the quality of requirements identification and analysis and therefore reducing the need for rework and fixes in the later stages of the project
2) Why would you like to become a business analyst?
- As I am working in the construction field as a project controls engineer and most of times I need to gather the updated data and analyse it to be more helpful to take the right decisions through project implementation phases comparing with the project inputs and outputs by the planning
