It has been said that nothing is constant in this world but change, and as a leader, change must be

seen as an opportunity, not a threat. However, a lot of adjustments and risks must be made and considered
before implementing it. This starts with formulating questions in my head.
First and foremost, what must be considered is for what or for whom is the change? What or who
will have the direct impact of this change? This is vital as finding out for what or for whom the purpose of
the change will be. This also means starting with the end in mind so that I will know whether the purpose
of the change is worth considering or is really needed by what or will have a direct impact of the change
that I’m about to execute. Next, disseminate to my group the change that I am about to do. We are going
to plan about the process and necessary things that we need to do to attain the change I’d like to
implement. I will ask also for their suggestions and opinions and filter out those that will help, and we
think will contribute to the development of the change.
Then, we will think whether we can manage or handle this change consistently or not. This is
important as considering that a lot of dips and curves might be along the way during the implementation.
But being consistent with our efforts will surely resolve it. Another, we will ask ourselves how we can
better demonstrate everything that we talked about it to our stakeholders as we cannot implement it
successfully without asking for the help from them, may it be their support morally or financially. In
addition, we will have a brainstorm on what are things that we might need to communicate about during
the implementation of change as well as how we can inform the people about this; how will we be able to
measure whether this change is successful or not. Furthermore, we will have to know what values will be
created, retained, or extracted within our organization because of this change.
Indeed, change implementation is not easy. It requires a lot of effort and must consider a lot of
things before executing it. Most importantly, it needs the support of others, co-workers, and stakeholders,
for a successful completion of it.
