Report on Data-Driven decisions and analysis

Outline of the Report

Data driven is considered as an approach to play strategic role in making decisions and for
investment analysis of an association.. This report would be based on analyzing the success
factors of a marketing campaign by a company named Bangles International Jewelry that was
conducted in the United Kingdom. The campaign was organized with the techniques of data
analytics and its framework (Elgendy, Elragal and Päivärinta, 2021). The company Bangles
International Jewelry has initiated the ways for the investment for knowing the success or
failure factors of the advertising strategy for the marketing campaign held in the UK. The
company wants to get an idea about whether the strategy for advertising was a hit or not. For
this purpose, the campaign was conducted with the lead of an analytical framework. The report
would be based on this framework and would help in analyzing the efficiency in comparison to
sales with other market domains of the company Bangles International which is in the United
States and Japan. This comparison of markets would analyze to understand the difference
between the real-time impact of paid marketing and organic sales in the market of Japan and
the United States. A Gantt chart would be formulated in the report in which the sales of
different items and the performance of the Bangles International Jewelry campaign would be
visualized for knowing its effectiveness. The problems and issues regarding the data collected
from the analysis of the BIJ campaign would be highlighted in this report. For this reason, a
solution based on these issues and discrepancies would be recommended. Different remedies
to resolve the issues and discrepancies would also be addressed to figure out the real-time
issues of the company that could affect the marketing campaign. Through this, BIJ can also get a
perspective of the ground reality of the campaign and its data. Various approaches have also
been used like the data cleaning approach which helps the administration to resolve the errors
and issues in the information collected through the data analysis. In this report, the
performance of commentary analysis would analyze the comparison in sales revenues, sales
profit, and volume of the product with each other of all the other market domains. The
recommendations to these findings would be addressed for making the campaign of BIJ into a

profitable company and for attaining the relative advantage of the other market domains of the
United States and Japan (Kaleka and Morgan, 2017).

Project Plan of Bangles International Jewelry


The various approaches of project planning would be adopted for the data analysis of the
company BIJ in this report. The techniques of project planning are chosen by the companies
that enable them to organize the plans and procedures in such a way that increments their
effectiveness and productivity in tasks. This technique helps to assign the prior tasks according
to the plan and responsibilities to every individual employee of the company. These approaches
enhance the communication and coordination among the employees with each other for
quality planning and efficiency (Levin and Levin, 2019).

As can be seen in the picture below, every task has its starting and ending time in a project
planning framework. The tasks are allocated to execute each day accordingly for increasing the
speed, productivity, and efficiency of data analysis. Bangles international has its own allocated
tasks that consist of various stages mentioned below. The stages can be collecting data,
sourcing, data filtration, data exploration, quality checking, comparison, visualization,
documentation, and data analysis. The picture below shows the project planning that is
initiated for the company named Bangles International Jewelry ltd. The tasks are assigned to
execute according to their priority.

Bangles International Jewelry’s Gantt Chart


The Gantt chart of a company shows the details and information of the project planning. It
depicts the initiated tasks allocated accordingly and the time frame that is to be required for
the completion of tasks. This area of the report would formulate or visualize the Gantt chart for
the company Bangles International Jewelry (Lee and Shvetsova, 2019). The Gannt chart in the
picture below illustrated various tasks of BIJ which are data analysis, project analysis,
documentation, quality checking of data, and evaluation of the BIJ. This chart enables the
practical implementation to carry out the deep data analysis according to the technique of
project planning. The tasks are performed by the designed plan e.g., the allocated time. The
information of the data analysis has been extracted from data mining. This Gannt chart is
illustrated and used for the report to make the quality data analysis. The chart under is
generated with the advanced tools of Microsoft Excel.

Data Analytics Framework of BIJ


The data analytics framework is based on various stages and would be used in this report for
utilizing the data analysis for the company named Bangles International Jewelry. For profound
data mining, the techniques of data analytics have been used by data analysts respectively
(Zhou and Troyanskaya, 2022). The data analytics framework depends on several stages and
that is cleaning, integration, analysis, visualization, etc.

1. The initial step for this framework is collecting the data and for that historical data is
being gathered.
2. The second main stage consists of the filtering and cleaning of the data that is being
collected. In this, all the raw data or unnecessary information is detached for acquiring
better outcomes for the data analysis.
3. The data after filtering is yet again compiled and integrated even after the removal of
the issues and discrepancies from collected data, to create more sense. This stage of the
framework is highlighted as integration.
4. After the compilation and integration there comes the last part which is a deep analysis.
In this step of the analytical framework, data evaluation and data interpretation are
necessary, and for this data analysts ensure to use of the techniques of machine
learning and artificial intelligence.
5. Later on, this stage allows for practical visualization of extracted data from the deep
analysis in the form of histograms and graphs for better understanding (Madsen,
Josephsson and Kanstrup, 2020).

Stages of Analytical Framework


Collection of Data

The initial step for this data analytical framework is collecting the data. In this step, raw data
has been extracted and gathered during the marketing campaign of Bangles International
Jewelry For profound data mining, the data collected needs to be pure discrepancies and issues.
This profound analysis makes sure of higher data quality and for maintaining accuracy in
predictions and forecasts. The data has been gathered from the database of the company
named Bangles International Jewelry for evaluating the campaign in the market of the United
Kingdom. The data collected from the database would be based on the information regarding
the category of sales by region, country, and city correspondingly. The collection of data does
not acquire quality or authenticity in the data.

Data Filtration

The second stage consists of the filtering and cleaning of the data that is being collected in an
analytical framework. In this stage, the data gathered or extracted from the database of the
company named Bangles International Jewelry is filtered by using the advanced techniques of
MS Excel. Considering the example of the company, the data extracted from Bangles
International Jewelry’s database depicts errors and issues in some categories. The issue in

category country of origin and sales have been mentioned in negative numbers. The error can
have a huge impact on the quality of data and for this reason, they needed to be removed. For
removing such errors advanced techniques of MS Excel were used for avoiding discrepancies
and fraud.

Data Integration

For avoiding confusion and misunderstandings the data extracted and filtered is aligned and
converted into several steps. The data after filtering is yet again integrated even after the
removal of the discrepancies which helps to carry out the next step of the analysis in a better
way. For instance, filtering and integrating the data extracted from the company with
respective domains according to the sales of the United Kingdom.

Data Analysis

In this step of the analytical framework, data evaluation and data interpretation are necessary.
Data analysts of the company BIJ ensure to use of the techniques of machine learning and
artificial intelligence. According to this, extracted data was analyzed from the database to have
a perspective on the future forecast. The comparison between other countries Japan and the
United States was also predicted in sales performances. Data analysts gain their prediction for
the real-time consequence of the campaign in the market of the UK.

Data Visualization

This stage of an analytical framework allows for practical visualization of extracted data from
the deep analysis in the form of histograms and graphs for better understanding. This stage
enables the data analysts in getting a perspective on the marketing campaign and how well it
has performed in the market. Considering the example, it was known by the analysis that the
Bracelets have higher demands and executed quite well in the market compared to the rings in
the United Kingdom even after investing millions in digital marketing strategies and
advertisement.

BIJ’s Sales Performance and its Key Performance Indicators


In this part of the report, the key performance indicators of BIJ’s sales would be discussed. KPIs
are considered to play a vital role in the evaluation of sales and performances during the
marketing campaign of the BIJ. For Bangles International, it is necessary to engage employees
and customers for the marketing campaign. For this purpose, engaging the employees and
satisfying the customers are the key performance indicators for the campaign that is conducted
in the United Kingdom. Considering the long-term success of the organization and quality
decision-making, it can be considered crucial for employee engagement (Velimirović,
Velimirović and Stanković, 2011). The employees need to be motivated in order to gain a
significant difference in the marketing campaign.

On the other hand, satisfying the customers also play a strategic part in the key performance
indicators. Improving the customer support program and providing them with the choices of
products that failed to achieve in the marketing campaign of the United Kingdom is the
necessary target. Employees that are fully motivated and have unique ideas in performing their
roles and responsibilities can accomplish sales performance increasingly in a better structure.
The techniques of data analytics can be followed for predicting the quality patterns and trends
for the campaign sales in the market of UK.

Data quality issues of BIJ and remedies


After the analysis was performed on the BIJ, several issues were encountered. This part of the
report would be based on the analysis of data quality issues and the remedies for them. These
issues can impact the whole data in several ways. So, for this reason, it needs to be clear with
using some of the techniques. The major and initial issue during the integration was the
appearance of negative digits in the category of sales and volume (Mansouri et al., 2021). The
data needs to be accurate for acquiring the er results. If the sales are shown in negative
numbers, it will have a negative image on the company’s profit and revenues that can impact
the decision-making and recommendation negatively.

The diagram below shows the issues found in data analysis for the company named Bangles
International Jewelry.

The other issue found in the analysis was the confusion of markets that were mixed for the
company Bangles international jewelry. The UK was replaced by the USA in several instances
that are confusing and makes the results go wrong. Another issue highlighted in the analysis
was that USAA was mentioned instead of USA. This impacts the area of origin and sales
performance.

Remedies for the Errors of BIJ


Several issues and discrepancies have been encountered above and mentioned in the analysis
that needs to be corrected to make the quality data analysis. The techniques and remedies for
resolving the issues will be mentioned and resolved in this area of the report.

The technique of data cleaning and filtering of the analytical framework was used to resolve the
appearance of negative digits for sales and volume which was impacting the data analysis. The
advanced technique of finding and replacing of excel function was utilized for this error. The
data was selected with the selecting function and then filtered by utilizing find and replace for
all the negative digits. After resolving the issue, then it comes to the issue of mixing markets
and creating confusion (Brown, Kaiser and Allison, 2018). The USA replaces the UK, and then
USAA replaces the USA, which makes the origin of the market better. This issue was resolved
manually by finding and replacing it. Such techniques of MS Excel helped to resolve all the
issues and made the data refined would help to understand the marketing campaign in a
quality way. Resolving the error for sales performance in all markets can aid in concluding as
well as comparisons.

UK. The sales were higher in May 2020 and June 2020 which shows that investment made in
advertising has proved to be profitable by comparing other markets.

The table below illustrates the highest sales recorded for the company named Bangles
International Jewelry for the United Kingdom market region in the year 2020. The items of
bracelets and hair accessories formulated the maximum revenue. In the market of Japan, hair
bands had the highest lead for the highest sales in the year 2018, and 2019 respectively. For the
USA, necklaces had the lead as their sales were recorded as the highest in the year 2020.

proved to be effective and an advantage for the company of BIJ as it boosted the revenues.

the United States and Japan. That gave a positive image to the sales of the United Kingdom.

3. Impact marketing campaign- Chart C

The campaign and its impact on the market have recorded a positive image in all the markets
and as well as in the United Kingdom. The increase in sales and its positive impact over time has
been shown in the graph.

Conclusion of the Report and Recommendations for BIJ


It can be concluded after the analysis of the report that marketing campaigns can be improved
and can be beneficial by adopting the techniques of data analytics. Integration and evaluation

for marketing campaign of the domain United Kingdom was completed for the company
Bangles International Jewelry ltd. The company invested in advertisements and digital
marketing and was impacted to have a great image for achieving huge success. The company
revenues were boosted as well as the yearly sales of the BIJ company by considering and
adopting the techniques of data analytics and its framework (Popenoe et al., 2021). The
marketing campaign conducted for the UK region has been a huge success in incrementing the
sales of all products like rings, hairbands, bracelets, and necklaces.

A few of the recommendations that Bangles international should consider to apply for boosting
revenues and profitability is to focus on digital marketing. BIJ should focus on promoting social
markets and influencers as it attracts customers in a better way. The company should consider
the platforms like Instagram and should collaborate with social celebrities or influencers that
impact the audience more.
