As an aspiring student of finance and a Detroit native, it was without a doubt that Rocket Mortgage’s summer of 2023
finance internship program would lock itself at the top of my list. I am a 5-year MBA student at the University of Detroit
Mercy with a minor in leadership. Becoming accustomed to the Rocket Mortgage name and its tremendous positive
influence on the city of Detroit, I have always found passion and desire in contributing as a member of Rocket’s mission.

I am a strong result-driven worker, and I passionately believe that I can excel through this internship program and provide
meaningful output for the Rocket team. As a student-athlete, I excel in handling and executing multiple tasks at once. This
has also engrained my ability to thrive under pressure. Furthermore, my leadership minor has prepared me to excel in the
areas of written and verbal communication, team building, and organizational skills.

As an undergraduate student alone, I have conducted a business start-up and where I was tasked with overseeing all
business elements from marketing to accounting has deeply engrained values of critical analysis. I found even greater
abilities in financial analysis through conducting a semester-long report on the current state of the U.S economy.
Analyzing this research with a global and national perspective allowed me to achieve a unique outlook consistent with the
values of companies at the national level. I am looking to bring qualities beyond the listed preferences of a Rocket
Mortgage Intern to maximize work efficiency. Having a detail-oriented personality will allow me to effectively support
finance functions for team members.

Alongside qualifications, abilities, and mindsets, a significant deal of importance rests in the company’s core values. As I
was born a first generation American of Romanian parents, values of integrity, diligence, and positivity have been
instilled in my daily personal mission. When looking at the 20 defining philosophies of Rocket Careers, I find a reflection
of my own personal values. In truth, this drives my passion for interning at the company to a maximum.
