Night of the Living Dead Man’s Hand 2017

“The Dead of Whisky Hills Rise Again”


Opening Scene: Old Bills Cabin
The Cast: Each side has 3 models worth up to a total of 6 Rep

The Story so Far: Rumor has it that Old Bill, that crazy prospector who’s cabin is just up the hill from
the Whisky Hills Mine, has struck Gold and found a mighty big seam of the stuff!

The Set: Place Old Bill inside his cabin in the center of the playing area. One player sets up the terrain
and the other player picks the side to have his models come from.

Directions: Alternate setting up models within 30 cm your edge, starting with the player who picked side
first.

Action! Each side uses a full deck of 23 cards. Shuffle your cards, cut the deck, deal out your hand. Each
side gets two cards, if one side has a lower Rep, that player gets an extra card. Models inside Old Bill’s
cabin may use an action to Search the Cabin. It will be the last action a model may take and on a roll of a 8+
the stash has been found. Put a token by the model that has the stash. If the model is killed by gunfire,
the stash is dropped. If it is out of action in hand to hand, the winner takes the stash. Old Bill will
activate after all player models have gone and will move up to twice to attack in HTH the closest model
inside his cabin. Old Bill has 3 hits and -2 HTH. Old Bill will not leave his cabin.

The End: The Scene ends when any one of 3 things happen: 1) All models on one side are out of action 2)
Either deck runs out of cards 3) Old Bill’s Stash is found and moved off any board edge. Results 1 & 3
means a win, result 2 means a win for the side with 2 or more models left in play, otherwise it’s a draw.

Second Scene: There is Dead in them thar hills!


The Cast: Each side has 10 Reputation

The Story so Far: Wow, what a stash of gold Old Bill had!! Lets get that down to the Mine Office and get
it turned in for Cold Hard Federal Greenbacks!

The Set: Set up the Whisky Hills Mine set.

Directions: The player that won the Opening Scene sets up his models first with one model inside the Mine
Office, the others within 20 cm of the mine office. The other player sets up his models anywhere outside
of 30 cm of an opposing models.
Action! Each side uses a full deck of 23 cards. Shuffle your cards, cut the deck, deal out your hand. Each
side gets three cards, the winner of the previous scene gets an extra card. At the start of each turn,
starting with the second turn, 2 Undead wander into the mining camp. Randomly determine a board edge for
each Undead and place them in the middle of the edge at the start of the turn. The Undead have the
following profile: 3 Hits, 0 HTH. They only have Teeth and Fingers for weapons, have 2 actions, activate
last, and move towards the nearest fire or movement marker, engaging in HtH if possible. There will also
be NPC Miners and animals, see below.

NPCs: Miners - At the beginning of each turn these take one move in a random direction. They have 3 Hits,
0 HtH, no firearms. Dumb Animals - Animals immediately move away (20cm) from a gunshot within (10cm) and
they make a final additional 20cm in the same direction at the end of each turn. These animals will swerve
past people in their path unless there is nowhere for them to run then they collide. Some animals go
plum loco and move in a random direction regardless of the direction the gunfire came from. Test each
animal with D6 whenever the first shot of an activation is fired and on a 1 they go plumb loco. The will
collide with anyone in their path. They do not get a second move at the end of the turn. Colliding Horses
make a hand to hand attack with a +4 modifier.

The End: The Scene ends when 1 player is down to 1 model at the end of the turn. The player with 1 model
left loses, unless both players end the turn with 1 model, in which case it is a draw.

FINAL Scene: RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!


The Cast: Each side has 21 Reputation

The Story so Far: The Rest of the Gang has arrived at the Mine, but only to find the UnDead are
everywhere! Lets kill them, grab some loot and get out of here!!!

The Set: Set up the Whisky Hills Mine set.

Directions: The player that won the Second Scene Picks which side of the board he wants to set up his
models, sets up one model on his side outside of 20cm of the center dividing line. Alternate setting up
models on each respective side, outside of 20 cm of the center line

Action! Each side uses a full deck of 23 cards. Shuffle your cards, cut the deck, deal out your hand. Each
side gets five cards, the winner of the previous scene gets an extra card. At the start of each turn, 4
Undead wander into the mining camp. Randomly determine a starting point for each Undead (1-4: Middle of
Board Edges, 5: Front of the Mine, 6: Barn) and place them at the start of the turn. The Undead have the
following profile: 3 Hits, 0 HTH. They only have Teeth and Fingers for weapons, have 2 actions, activate
last, and move towards the nearest fire or movement marker, engaging in HtH if possible.

The End: The scene ends when one side is wiped out or fails a Big Nerve Test. If both sides are wiped out
or fail their test at the same time, the result is a draw.
