Bloody Marriage

“That’s your problem, not mine. You should have told me before, I’m calling the police right
now”, Lucy shouted at Dan angrily. "No, you won't," Dan said in her ear as he grabbed her neck
and shoved her against the wall. Lucy is struggling to breathe as she tries to scream through the
fog in her brain. She was on the verge of death when Dan released her neck. She gasped for
air. "Now make me a nice dinner, and we'll hash it out like a mature couple," Dan added. Lucy
was terrified and perplexed. She prepared puffer fish, a popular Japanese delicacy, for him to
make him happy and quiet. She was trembling with fear as she served it on the table, wondering
what he was going to do to her. The dinner was almost over Dan didn’t utter a word and she ate
nothing. Dan pulled out a knife after supper and, just as he was about to kill her, he fell on the
ground and was motionless, as if paralyzed.

Lucy smiled sinisterly, took the knife from his grip, and slashed his throat. There was a puddle of
blood all over her hands, clothes, and the floor. She has till daylight to clean things up and hide
the body somewhere safe. She rushed into the storeroom, retrieved a bottle containing a pale
blue liquid, and used it to clean her garments. She dashed to the kitchen and warmed a half-cup
of water with a spoonful of white powder. And then, using a sponge, quickly applied the solution
to the blood spot on the carpet. Blotted the stain many times. She then wrapped the body in a
carpet, carried it to the basement, and placed it in a freezer with embalming fluid. She hadn't
gotten any sleep that night. A week passed but no one knew about Dan's death. Then one day
she got a call from Dan's office, enquiring about his whereabouts. Lucy became terrified and
responded, stumblingly, "Dan is out of the city for personal reasons; he'll go back to work when
he returns." After saying this, she hung up the phone without hearing anything from them.

Lucy couldn't sleep for another week, so she started using Nytol sleeping pills. She took it with
wine one night and began getting hallucinations. The world around her appeared hazy to her.
She heard police sirens and saw several cops rush into the house and seize Dan's body. "Don't
take him away from me!" she screamed repeatedly. After about an hour, she fell asleep on the
couch. When she awoke in the morning, she was terrified that the police would discover his
body, so she used a colorless and odorless oily substance to degrade the body faster. There
was an unexpected knock on the front door. Lucy's heartbeat quickened as she hastily bolted
the cellar door and went to open the front door. The officers arrived and searched the entire
home, discovering two dead bodies in the basement. Because of the use of some type of acid,
one person was unrecognizable. The other body was of a woman.

Lucy started crying and said, “He killed her, he was having an affair and was pregnant so he
killed her by poisoning her water with some white powder. I was going to call the cops on him
but he stopped me.” And suddenly she cut her hand. One of the female officers administered a
midazolam injection to put Lucy to sleep so that she could be taken to the hospital.
