1. What has been your new realizations about things around us
and how is it connected to mathematics?
I just realized that the world is mostly or should I say mainly
governed by mathematical patterns from the petals of a flower up to
the vast heavenly bodies that we can observe in space.

2. What do you think were the greatest contributions of

mathematics for humankind?
Mathematics helped humans in many ways but I think the greatest
contribution of mathematics to the humankind is the fact that with
mathematics we are able to predict weather anomalies and help in
accurately pin pointing certain.
3. What new ideas about mathematics did you learn that might
have change your thoughts about it?
The idea that changed my initial perspective about Mathematics is
the idea that with mathematics you could predict how certain
hypothetical energy strings inside a sub-atomic particle could vibrate
relative to the type of element it is. It is actually called the string
theory which is under the quirky side of quantum physics that they
say will make us understand how the universe operates and why
things are the way they are.

E. Create an essay composing of more than 150 but not greater

than 500 words on how mathematics become significant in our
life. You will be graded by using the rubrics below.

Mathematics a field of study that involves patterns in which the

universe operates, it played a huge role in the development of the
modern era we know today from the way we incorporate counting as
an essential skill to thrive in this modern world up to the way we use
mathematics in various professional applications such as engineering
and other fields that would require accurate data analysis. It helped
farmers know the right amount of certain chemicals to boost their
crop thus having the ability to feed thousands , Mathematics helped in
formulating and maintaining the economy thus promoting sustainable
development, and last but not the least mathematics helped in various
fields that study the secrets of the universe which would be essential
in solving our “population growth per area” problem assuming we do
find ways to colonize other planets.

With all this being said we can conclude that mathematics have
been part of our daily lives as human beings and will continue to do
so in the future.
