Study Plan My name is I Dewa Ayu Amanda Manikasari, I am a Harapan Vocational School graduate and currently living in Bali, I graduated in 2017 and I took tourism business as my major. The reason I want to learn Mandarin is that Mandarin is the second international language after English, and I can also lear to develop my business with mandarin in the future, After I ‘came back to Indonesia, | also would like to build my own start-up business. Introduction of my background I was born in Denpasar, Bali and I am the first child, I have one younger brother and one younger sister. In 2014, I was admitted to Harapan Vocational Schoo! which is known for its tourism major in Bali. There, I took tourism business for 3 years with 4 months of training in a Japanese travel agency. After I graduated, I worked as a reservation staff in a Chinese market travel agency for 2 years. With the training and experience I have in the business industry, I leamed a lot about products, organization management, networking, and problem-solving. Even if | was already trained and working professionally, I still feel that itis not enough to start my own start-up business with the knowledge I have and would like to chase further by taking a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management. ‘Why do I choose to study in China? In China, business is very advanced ever since the early days and has become one of the most impactful countries in various fields. Even in this pandemic situation, China's economy rises by 8,1% in 2021 (according to cnn.com). China is also one of the most interesting tourist, destinations with a lot of unique cultural and historical backgrounds which makes me decide that I will choose China as the country I am getting my bachelor’s degree. There is even a saying in Indonesia that sounds like “seek knowledge to the land of China”, this saying is also one of the reasons I want fo continue my study in China, Graduated from China will be ‘one of the most beneficial things for me in my career path in the future and will be a precious chance to be able to study in the business country and lean with the best professors in the ‘management field, which I believe will be so useful to be used in my future business plan. Why do I choose Fujian Normal University? Fujian Normal University is one of the top universities in Fuzhou. Fujian Normal University ranked 106th for Business in China and 1175th in the World with 1,818 publications made and 1,135 citations received, Hospitality and Hotel Management is ranked 24 in China and rank 48 in Asia(aceording to edurank.org). Fujian Normal University is also a Top University at the Regional and National levels such as 2014 Top 3rd Universities in Fujian Province, 2015 Top 3rd University in Fuzhou, 2015 Top 6 Chinese Language and Literature rank Ist, Top 3rd in China University Ranking by National Teaching Achievement Award and many more(by cucas.cn). Studying in the Tourism Management program at Fujian Normal University is always my dream. I chose this program its prestigious professor, stimulating atmosphere and beautiful scenery.Goal of Study During my bachelor’s program, I am planning to take compulsory classes and optional classes to be eligible for graduation. Along with my bachelor’s degree program, I will also train my Mandarin skill actively. Currently, I already have HSK level 4 certification and I am planning to get to HSK level 6 by the time T graduated. In the future, I would like to expand my knowledge and experiences in business and apply the theories I learned in college. I plan to do my training in multinational companies like Ctrip, Qunar and AILVPAI Culture and Tourism Group. And Other than that, I will also participate in the Indonesian Student Association program where I will gather together with Indonesian international students to find more motivation and input from the members so I can be a better student. Therefore, I see learning in China will be an outstanding process of leaning and living for my life and for the good of society. Future Plan After Study Short term: After graduating from the bachelor’s program in China, I will return to my home country Indonesia. I will work as a travel consultant for 6 months and find out about how is the current situation of the tourism business, the problem we are facing, and how to solve them, Other than that, I would like to also find more connections to help me build my own ‘company. Long term: 3 years after graduating from the bachelor’s program in China, I am going back to my home country Indonesia and building my own start-up company with the knowledge that I got from my study in China. My company will be focused on as a travel agent that will sell travel products in Indonesia, especially in Bali. I will sell my products in 2 ways. The first one is to work together with China travel agents and offer our products to them. The second one is to sell my products online on China’s websites and also locals to be accessed by people around the globe. And then I will recruit employees from people around me and help to open more job opportunities.
