dangers of genetic engineering. Cotton is the sort of GMO I think I'll make because, according to my
research, it's easier to make than the others. Farmers can help protect the abundance and effectiveness
of beneficial insects as pest control agents by cultivating Bt cotton instead of insecticides, while also
lowering the risk to other wildlife and the effects of insecticide runoff on water quality.The downsides of
this are that GMOS favor unsustainable cotton production and oppose organic cotton cultivation.
Farmers are reliant on the firms from which they purchase GMO seeds. In contrast to traditional
agriculture, once the farmer plants these GMO seeds, he or she cannot keep the seeds from the
previous year.
