THE MEANING OF POOR-

No one is poor by his own will ; it is either of them not working hard or the government not

focusing on them. Author discusses about the difference of rich and poor and how hard it is for

poor to survive in the world of riches. Itis accepted by the creator that when a needy individual is

conveyed to "destitute individual" is copied into the skin, and it turns out to be essential for their

personality, whether covered or paraded like a swear word even with a world that has simply

endeavored to obliterate them, enraged and glad and deceived and miserable all simultaneously.

In any case, neediness is a more troublesome term to characterize. I completely agree with the

author that there are some blind spots that rich and prosperous Canadians have for the poor

Canadians and the main difficulties between the difference of income . This essay further

highlights that Koziar was successful in identifying the core elements of issue among the inequal

incomes in the ensuing body paragraphs.

As read in the essay and mentioned by the author the inequality about the income is completely

true that the affluent begins in the upper middle class, a person would start at around $55,000

per year using both the middle 60% technique (2013 statistics) and the 150 percent of median

income method (2017 numbers). As it is too less for some individuals, it is clearly cited that one

would agree that the top 10% of incomes should at the very least be given this title. The top 10%

of workers procure (just) $80,000 per year for a person (rather than a couple) — a pay that is

frequently thought of, nonchalantly, to be upper-working class. Most people do not regard

someone with earnings of $80,000, $100,000, or even $150,000 to be "wealthy”. However,

Students are the group's honorary members with a designation that almost never genuinely suits.

In general, students are far wealthier than they (or the entire public) believe. Most understudies

get presents from their folks, for example, Christmas presents, birthday presents, a pre-owned
PC, and a colder time of year coat, as well as free dinners when they visit or take some time off,

free moving administrations, protection through their folks or school, house time, or other free

encounters; generally speaking, no matter what their authority pay, most understudies are

successfully center or upper-lower class instead of poor. Even after-the-fact college debts are a

symbol of affluence. Also, an illustration in the essay can prove if more better that even if the

students have got the loan for the education from the government and they are not able to pay it

off being poor the government itself pays the loan for them which is not the case with the rich

people as they earn still most of the times they have a myriad of liabilities on them to clear off

for the entire life.

Secondly, while statistics might be useful, being impoverished is equally a sensation of prejudice

because it is a statistic or just a number likewise a fact of the inability to purchase needs in

addition to the fact that no person understands. The system itself perpetuates discrimination.

Considering the social and hierarchical society. While there are just few other groups of people,

such as those who work part-time for minimum wage, the majority of them get the bulk or all of

their revenue from the administration, and the amount that they have is focused primarily on

such a power structure that reflects the amount to which they are appreciated or faulted for their

situations. People are poor by choice; either they do not work hard enough, or the government

does not prioritise them. The author explores the rich-poor divide and how difficult it is for the

poor to exist in a society of luxury. The author believes that when a poor person is sent out to

die, the word "poor person" is burned into their skin and becomes part of their identity, whether

hidden or flaunted like a swear word in the face of a world that has only attempted to destroy

them, leaving them furious, proud, betrayed, and hopeless. An income that can be the difference

between someone being homeless and hungry. Because their children are not to blame for their
parents' "failures," . For illustration, on seeing commercials stating things like "no kid should go

hungry"—with an implied implication that some adults should, or that it doesn't matter if they do

—or "stop adolescent homelessness.". Thus, it can prove the in differential behaviour of the rich

towards poor.

To conclude, on analysing all the aforementioned points it can be concluded that there is a huge

difference of income and state of mindset of the people and their way of treating the poor people

badly. Also, the author mentions that nobody likes to call themselves rich, at least not until

they're insanely affluent and can revel in it. They are always looking for more: more security,

more vacation time, more classes, and more room. At the end, it is wished that the small fire on

the dirty stones beside them, those flickering flames that have been their only warmth over the

long dark years, represents hope that the world will change eventually.
