The Pill

Hormonal Contraceptives are used by women to prevent the development of their eggs, which will
prevent them from getting pregnant. The Pill has a 99% success rate if taken correctly. There is also an
Emergency Contraceptive Pill (ECP) that should be taken up to three days after unprotected sexual
intercourse.
Besides hormonal contraceptives and barrier contraceptives, there are types of devices that you can get
implanted for long-term use.

Intrauterine Device

Meron itong dalawang uri: may hormones at walang hormones.

Permanent Contraception

Permanent Contraception is also called sterilisation. For men, it is called a vasectomy, and for women, it
is called tubal ligation. This needs to be done by licensed doctors in trusted hospitals. After these
procedures, any future pregnancies will not be possible. This procedure is extremely difficult and close
to impossible to reverse.

In addition to devices and pills, another type of contraception is simply being educated and aware of
your body.

Fertility Awareness
