Method of Contraception Using contraception which is an attempt or action to prevent all forms
of pregnancy. In several countries including Indonesia, contraception is interpreted as an effort to
regulate birth. One method commonly used in family planning programs is to immobilize sperm
cells, so that fertilization with eggs does not occur (ovulation).

This method can be used by both men and women and there is a certain period of time. This
contraceptive method is divided into two, namely the natural contraceptive method and the
modern contraceptive method.

the following are some contraceptives :

1. Female Condoms and Male Condom

One of the most commonly used contraceptive methods is the use of condoms. There are
two types of condoms to choose from, namely male or female condoms. As the name
implies, male condoms are used by men on his penis. Meanwhile, female condoms, also
known as dental dams, are used on the vagina.
This method of contraception used only when you have sex is made of very thin latex
material, and is designed to prevent sperm from entering your uterus and fertilizing an
egg. If you install a condom correctly, this contraceptive method has an effectiveness rate
of up to 98 percent.

2. Combination family planning pills

There are several types of birth control pills that you can use as a method of
contraception. However, in addition to condoms, a contraceptive method that is also
widely used to prevent pregnancy is a combination birth control pill. Called the combined
birth control pill, this contraceptive pill contains synthetic hormones such as estrogen and
progesterone which are naturally produced in a woman's ovaries.
The contraceptive method in the form of a hormone pill will prevent the ovaries from
releasing eggs (ovulation) while making it difficult for sperm to reach the egg.
Combination birth control pills can also make it difficult for the egg to attach to the
uterine wall.As long as the birth control pill is taken according to the rules, this pill has
an effectiveness rate of up to 99% in helping you delay pregnancy. Therefore, avoid the
mistake of taking birth control pills that you might do. One of them is forgetting to take
birth control pills.
You need to use birth control pills every day for 21 days and stop for seven days. You
may experience menstruation afterwards. After seven days have passed, you must take
the birth control pill again. Your risk of pregnancy will be higher if you do not comply
with these rules of use. However, you also need to pay attention to the side effects of birth
control pills that you may experience. You do not need to worry because birth control
pills do not have a special impact on your weight change. In fact, birth control pills also
have several other health benefits that you might feel when using them.
One of them is that birth control pills can be used as acne medications and help reduce
PMS symptoms. Unfortunately, the use of this contraceptive method is not recommended
for women smokers aged 35 years and over. If you belong to this group, it is better to
consult with your doctor first

3. KB spiral
Another method that is also widely used is the IUD or KB spiral. IUD which stands for
intrauterine device has two types, namely copper IUD and hormonal IUD. The IUD is a
contraceptive device made of plastic and has the shape of the letter T.This method of
contraception is used by inserting it into the uterus through the vagina. Copper IUD will
release copper as a pregnancy prevention. Meanwhile, the hormonal IUD will release the
synthetic progestin hormone by thickening cervical mucus to make sperm cells that enter
difficulty swimming and reaching for eggs.

In addition, this contraceptive method also dilutes the uterine wall while preventing
ovulation. You can use IUD or spiral KB as a method of contraception because of its high
level of effectiveness. Not only that, this method is also relatively easy to do. Because,
you do not need to remember its use every day. You only need to install it once and this
tool will protect you from pregnancy for up to about five years.

You only need to check whether the KB IUD you are using is shifting position or not.
The trick, you can check the position of the IUD thread regularly. The reason is, if the
position changes in the womb, you may be broken into despite using an IUD. In fact, you
also need to be careful because there are times when the IUD is released on its own.

4. KB injection
There are other contraceptive methods that are also widely used, namely family planning
injection which is classified as a hormonal contraceptive method. This method of
contraception is injected into your body and contains hormones. If a 3-month KB
injection contains the hormone progestin, a 1-month KB injection contains a mixture of
the progestin and estrogen hormones.

This contraceptive method prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. That is, the
ovaries do not release eggs. If there are no eggs in the fallopian tubes, pregnancy is
almost impossible. This method also works by thickening the cervical mucus. When
cervical mucus thickens, sperm cells cannot go deeper into the uterus, and fertilization
cannot occur.

5. Natural KB
There are also contraceptive methods that do not require the help of tools, namely natural
birth control. There are actually several ways if you want to use this method as a way to
prevent pregnancy. This method is quite easy because you do not need to use the help of
any tool to do natural contraception.

You just need to focus on what you do. For example, you can do interrupted intercourse
as one of the methods you do. Interrupted intercourse is ejaculation outside the vagina, so
you do not secrete sperm when your penis is still inside the partner's vagina.
