Manager of eBusiness

BASIC FUNCTION

The Manager of eBusiness will be responsible for the overall strategy, management and execution of
eBusiness and configurator applications and infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing,
planning, budget, personnel, technology, standardization and support for Global eBusiness requirements.
He/She will maintain a close working relationship with all application and infrastructure groups, Marketing
Groups, Local Management Resources to ensure that they are informed and/or leverage today’s internet
based technology to assist them in identifying and achieving there business objectives and reducing
areas of exposure and risk when leveraging this technology.

In addition, the Manager of eBusiness will maintain an active role within application and infrastructure
management group. This participation will, but not is limited to, include
A. Defining, implementing and enforce the standards, controls and resource sharing requirements
necessary to help leverage cost effective global eBusiness applications and technology across
the entire Value Center.
B. Providing assistance, backup support and advice to other Management Team Members
C. Participate in the review and recommendation of future technology and “Best in Class” business
solutions designed to support all locations.
D. Assist and stand-in for the Global Applications Manager in day to day business requirements,
analysis and meetings.

SCOPE

Management and Design that encompasses all eBusiness applications and Configuration Tools deployed
via Web, FatClient, and LAN based application systems and the supporting personnel for all eBusiness
solutions

In addition, the Manager of eBusiness will represent company as an active member within Strategic
Applications and Infrastructure Committee, chaired by Global Applications Manager, to ensure that all
location follows the defined standards and directions established within the Value Center.

WORK PERFORMED

A. Management of all eBusiness strategy, design, support, infrastructure and Integration implemented
to support eBusiness requirements.
B. Work directly with Marketing Management and Customer to determine eBusiness requirements to
support custom and market demands.
C. Management of eBusiness resources within the company. This will include career development and
reviews, training requirements, work schedules and approvals, disciplinary actions and mentoring.
D. Management, review and quality control of all eBusiness projects, case studies and user support.
E. Management, Hands-on Participation, and/or over-seeing the execution of all eBusiness technology
based applications implementations, enhancements and support requirements.
F. Maintain an active role within the Global Application Committee Group
G. Providing on time monthly reporting as defined and scheduled by the Global Applications Manager.
H. Perform Monthly and Quarterly meetings with locations and departmental groups and local
management to review projects status, outstanding request, changes and priority evaluation of
outstanding request and projects.
I. Management and creation of eBusiness Budget.
J. Management, communication and change management control of all company’s application that
impact eBusiness strategy.
K. Participation in Business Process Reengineering (BPR) studies and implementations that leverage
eBusiness technology and/or technology changes.

L. Management and/or Hands-on support of eBusiness application, security and controls being
leveraged within company.
M. Effectively leverage resources to support eBusiness demands and objectives as stated by
management.
N. Maintain up-to-date skills in business process re-engineering, systems design, systems analysis, and
programming to be positioned to train and evaluate subordinates as well as contribute individually to
systems development projects.
O. Define and implement strategic tools and solutions to support eBusiness application implementation
and support.
P. Support and Stand-in for the Global Application Manager when necessary due to scheduling
conflicts, vacations, and so forth.
Q. Hands on development and support, as needed, to support critical timelines, support and issues.
R. Work directly with internal and external customers to promote, support and create eBusiness
solutions that will provide strategic advantages to both company and its Business Partners.

Direct Line to Global Applications Manager
Dotted line to Director/VP of Marketing
B. Supervision:
Supervision of a general nature in order to achieve assigned objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

a. Equivalent Education Level Required


• Bachelor Degree
b. Experience Required
• Five (5) plus years of information systems and business management experience within a
global eBusiness environment.
• Five (5) plus years of technical infrastructure design and implementation (including software,
hardware, database, security and performance management) within an eBusiness
Environment.
• Five (5) plus years designing and implementing single and multi-tenant internet based
applications within a global organization.
c. Knowledge Required
• Demonstrated success in managing system development solutions and projects that support
B2B internet based solutions.
• Expert in B2B internet system design, system analysis and programming.
• Information systems or business experience in a manufacturing organization a plus.
• Experience with on-line, integrated eBusiness application software packages.
• Thorough understanding of the project life cycle process to effectively manage through the
complexities of the eBusiness solution
• Experience in full lifecycle software development process and methods
• Exceptionally strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams
• Experience in designing and deploying Product Configuration tools a plus
• Backend ERP integration with SAP, Oracle, etc. is a plus.
• Product Configuration design and deployment is a plus
d. 5-8 years of the Microsoft .NET platform (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET)
• Solid understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for full product
development lifecycle
e. 5-8 years of Microsoft Studio (2003, 2005 and 2008)
f. Knowledge and use of general Project Management tools such as:
• Microsoft Project

g. Travel 50 plus percent the first 2 years, 30% plus % after.
