We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Strategy
We are looking for an experienced strategist to join Genpact’s corporate strategy team India. The purpose of the role is
to develop and execute strategies which deliver growth across Genpact’s portfolio globally. The individual will be engaged
in projects to help identify and develop new opportunities for Genpact, through external market and competitive analysis;
and also drive change in the organization through the management of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate should
have a classic strategy development and execution skillset gained through experience in a strategy consulting team and /
or an inhouse corporate strategy department. The ideal candidate should have an excellent academic record and an MBA
is desirable. The candidate will also have a good awareness of digital and technology trends with developed viewpoints
on future scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategy development – deliver projects that contribute to Genpact’s strategic development and answer the key
strategic questions that the business is facing
• Research and analysis – design and undertake external research programs in support of strategy projects
including market, customer and competitor analysis
• Technology trends – monitoring tech trends impacting the BPO and transformation industry and developing
viewpoints on future development
• People development and team leadership - coach junior members of the team in core strategy consulting skills
and contributing to continuous learning environment
• Strategy execution and change management – follow strategy projects through into implementation by
managing change and working with stakeholders across a global, matrixed organisation
• Financial analysis and financial modelling – analyse internal financial data and build business cases for
investment into new business areas
• Internal consulting – supporting business units / service line leadership teams in strategy development and
planning
• M&A – work closely with the M&A team to develop strategic rationale, assess acquisition targets, build synergy
cases, and developing supporting materials
• Competitor intelligence – closely follow industry and competitive dynamics to understand implications to
strategy formulation
Requirements
• Relevant experience in strategy consulting or internal corporate strategy team with rapid personal progression
• Record of success in developing and implementing business unit and / or corporate strategy
• Strong drive, work ethic, and leadership qualities including high levels of self-motivation and self-review needed
for distributed global team model
• Experience in managing strategic planning processes
• Excellence in framing problems and structuring programs of research and analysis to answer critical questions
• Experience in sizing market opportunities in areas of limited data
• Excellent academic record with MBA desirable
• Base level of digital acumen in some aspects of new tech could include depth and /or project experience in data,
analytics, automation, Artificial Intelligence, experience or cloud

• Strong interest in technological change
• Ability to work in an ‘ambiguous’, fast-moving and diverse environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and executive presence to connect at C-level
• Ability to influence multiple internal stakeholders to leverage diverse teams, practices etc.
• Able to juggle multiple, competing projects at the same time
• Strong analytical & data interpretation skills including high level of proficiency in Excel. Other advanced
analytics skills and knowledge of analytical tools a plus
• Developed change management skills and ability to find senior leader sponsorship
• Consulting skills to support other teams in strategic planning
• Flexibility and agility to pick up new consulting challenges
• Strong writing ability – impactful written and visual communication of ideas in both narrative and slide format
• Curiosity, commitment to learning and development, and willingness to learn fast
• Global outlook and commitment to diversity and inclusion
