 Web site development work is a growing
aspect of the IT activities within many
organisations. However, the skills and
knowledge required by IT practitioners for

largely uncertain.

 In this paper we examine the results of a

research exercise involving case studies in

 The purpose of this paper is to identify the

major factors of client satisfaction (CS)
that are critical
for web development projects in freelance
marketplaces. This quantitative study is
done from the point of view of
the web development services clients.
 A web-based survey methodology is used
as the main data collection instrument.
Statistical techniques such as confirmatory
factor analysis and multiple linear
regressions are used to analyze 162
responses of questionnaires.
Determinants of  The findings suggest that all factors do
influence CS. In terms of strength, security
client satisfaction in
2 2018 had the highest level of impact on CS, so it
web development is the strongest determinant among all
projects from factors. After security, ease of use and
freelance information are considered as strong
marketplaces determinants. So, this study concludes that
the five major determinates do affect CS in
web development projects from freelance
marketplaces.

 This paper aims to examine the contextual

issues relating to the problem of
developing web‐based information
systems for emergent organisations.
 The study employs an action research
approach to understand and develop an
analytical development tool for web
developers. It postulates that existing
methods are inadequate in coping with
sudden and unexpected changing
characteristics within the organisation.

the basis for the development of an
