Assessment - Tutor-Marked Assignment (TMA)

• Covers topics in Unit 1
• Individual Assignment
• Submit ONE written report in MS Word document
format (incl. Excel outputs like tables or graphs)

Assessment - Group-based Assignment (GBA)

• Due Wed, 2355 of Week 5


• Covers topics in Unit 1 & 2
• Submit ONE written report in MS Word document
format (incl. Excel outputs like tables or graphs)
• Groups of 4 members
• Only Group Leader submit the report

Detailed instructions are provided in the GBA document.

GBA Free Rider Process


• The group still have to complete the assignment as ONE group

• Indicate all members names in the report (including free rider)

• Notify Tutor by SUSS Email on the free rider (cc all members) within 3
days after GBA due date

• Tutor will forward to SUSS for investigation

• Marks of the free rider will be adjusted accordingly after the investigation

• Keep your communication records

• Form into groups of 4 persons

• Inform the lecturer during tea-break

Assessment

End-of-Course Assessment (Exam)


• SUSS will announce exam date
• Duration: 2 hours
• Four Questions with several parts
• Covers ALL topics in Unit 1 to 3
• Formula List and Statistical tables are provided (see file in
Seminar 1 folder).
• Calculators that are not communication devices are allowed.
