Earth weeks 3

The world is experiencing drastic changes. The changes come in different manifestations in

different parts of the world. This includes emissions, earth phenomena such as earthquakes,

ozone depletion that is gradually increasing and decreasing at different times of the year, the

different mountains that have volcanic potential and have been dormant, having signs that are

going to have their activities start.

The animal kingdom also makes some interesting changes and realizations. Such is the new

record recently set by the bird godwit, which recorded the longest non-stop flight from Alaska to

Tasmania. They were winging 8,435 miles in total. The size of rhinoceros horns appears to have

decreased over the past 130 years, most likely as a result of poaching methods, according to a

recent study that looked at images from more than a century ago. Also, the research indicates the

tropical cyclone claimed over 110 lives in the Philippines, and the same later douched Hong

Kong.

Earth weeks 4

In the Netherlands, people have been given the green light to scare the wolves using paintballs to

scare them away. This is after the wolves have become so unafraid of the locals, as captured in a

video by a man who was afraid of the animal that passed him by. In Egypt, there was a summit

held to discuss global heating. Also, the arctic could potentially become a new breeding ground

for the new virus after the spillover has occurred, and the melting ice exposes the viruses posing

chances of the same to “jump” to new hosts.
