FAQS ABOUT SACRED HEART ENTHRONEMENT

1. What Is An Enthronement?

The Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the family home is an act of
adoration that publicly declares Jesus as "Lord of the House" and where He is
given authority over the family household. In return, Christ has promised to bless
families and individuals who honour Him with the installation and enthronement
of a blessed image of His Sacred Heart.

The enthronement is also an act of reparation to make up for all who have
"dethroned" Jesus in our secular world.

2. What is the Difference between Enthronement and Consecration to the

Sacred Heart of Jesus?

A consecration to the Sacred Heart is a prayer by which one sets apart

themselves as belonging to the Sacred Heart.

An Enthronement is an action, involving prayer, by which one inaugurates the

beginning of Jesus having a throne in the life of someone or a family.

They are related yet distinct. A consecration is what we do to belong to the

Lord, an Enthronement is what we invite the Lord to do to us. To make us His
by our acknowledging Him as King, Brother, and Friend.

3. What Can We Do To Save The Family?

Answer: ENTHRONEMENT OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS IN THE

FAMILY

PROMISE #9: "I WILL BLESS EVERY PLACE IN WHICH AN IMAGE OF MY

HEART IS EXPOSED AND HONORED."

The center of the devotion to the Sacred Heart is the ENTHRONEMENT of the
IMAGE in our homes. By this, we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the King of
our hearts, our family and we desire to make Him present daily in our homes and
in our lives as our whole family prays the Act of Consecration.

ITS PURPOSES, ITS REWARDS

The purpose of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is to make us aware of
His love and to arouse us to respond to that love by offering our love in
return. We do this by the consecration of ourselves to Jesus and by reparation
(prayer and sacrifices in atonement for our sins and sins of others).

The enthronement is a crusade to establish the Social Reign of the Sacred

Heart in society through the family, the social cell. It is the answer to the
question: "What can we do to save the family?".

The enthronement will restore the family to Christ because the family is
putting Our Lord and His interest first.

In return, the Sacred Heart takes over the interests of the family. Our Lord
Himself has promised that He will bless and sanctify those families who enthrone
Him as King. He asked St. Margaret Mary, to whom He revealed His Sacred
Heart, that he be allowed to reign over the homes of the rich and the poor; that
He be solemnly received as King and Friend and that His Sacred Heart be
honored and loved.

4. Why do I need to Enthrone my family with an Image of the Sacred Heart

of Jesus in my home?

The request is directly from Jesus Himself. He told St. Margaret Mary of
Alacoque that He would bless each home where a picture of His Sacred Heart is
exposed and honored.

As the family/household receives Jesus in the Eucharist at Holy Mass, Jesus

desires through His Image to remain present spiritually in their home, “the
domestic church.”

The Image of the Sacred Heart is more than just a picture. It is meant to draw us
toward God and enlighten our soul with Divine Truths.

5. Do you need to be “Holy” to have your home enthroned to the Sacred

Heart?

No, just a valid marriage and you only need one parent who desires to do the
enthronement and the overall desire to do the will of God in your life! Jesus
says in Matthew 7: 7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and
the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Jesus wants us to seek Him out and we will be amazed at the life he can offer us!

Children within the age of reason or adults can be a representative of the family
to attend the formation.

6. What if my children are young and have a hard time sitting still or
praying?

The goal of this devotion is to welcome Christ into your heart and home,
Christ is always there for us and wants to meet us where we are at and lead us.
How your children behave does not prevent the Enthronement from taking place.
7. What if my teens or family members are not practicing the faith?

We learn in the promises that “I will bless the homes in which the image of My
Sacred Heart shall be exposed and honored.” Even if not all the members are
practicing the Catholic faith all are blessed when the parents or head of the
household decide to Enthrone Jesus as King, Savior, and Friend.

8. How is an Enthronement done in my home?

Attend 5 consecutive months of formation that will prepare you for the
Enthronement. The first 4 months are done face to face at IVE Pastoral Center
Lipa City, Batangas.

- This will be done during enthronement at home.

On the fifth month, which is the day of the ceremony, the head of the
family/individual carries the Image of the Sacred Heart to His place of honor in
the home.

After the Image has been set in a place of honor, the family/individual publicly
consecrate’s themselves to Jesus Christ.

The Enthronement covenant is sealed.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving is said by all the people present - family members,

friends and members of the religious.

The family/individual celebrates together as the work of the restoration of

society begins with their family/household.

9. Is it possible to go through the Enthronement and Consecration of the

family to the Sacred Heart of Jesus without my family being present or
indeed without their consent?

The Enthronement is on behalf of your whole family, living and deceased. We

look to the Promises of the Sacred Heart that states, “I will pour out abundant
blessings on their undertakings; I will give peace to their families, and I will bless
the homes in which the image of My Sacred Heart will be exposed and honored.”

We do not believe “family” is reserved for those who live in your house, the
family is your blood-line… the family is your children. Enthronement is a great
way to gain new peace and graces for your family!

10. Why the heart? Why focus on the heart of Jesus?

The Catechism of the Catholic Church summarizes the Catholic view of the
centrality of one’s heart to prayer, faith, love, and action. “The heart is our
hidden center, beyond the grasp of our reason and of others; only the Spirit of
God can fathom the human heart and know it fully. The heart is the place of
decision, deeper than our psychic drives. It is the place of truth, where we
choose life or death.” (2) Therefore, the heart of Jesus, the sinless Son of God, is
the perfect source of truth, life, and love.

11. Are the Promises Safe to Believe in?

They have been approved and cited by the Church.

They have been fulfilled many times in the life of all kinds of people- the laity and
religious.

Taken in their entirety, these promises affirm and offer no more than Our Lord
Himself promise in the Gospel to absolute Faith. What is new in these promises
therefore not their content, but the circumstances of their fulfillment.
