0 - RULE ADJUSTMENTS:
SETUP 1
Every ARNO starts with -3 conservation points. Place 3 player tokens as a
reminder next to ARNO‘s conservation points counter and remove them one
by one as soon as ARNO scores his first 3 conservation points.
SETUP 3
ARNO can now act with 6 different difficulty levels - Level 1 to Level 6 (L1-
L6). Before the start of the game, prepare ARNO‘s action deck depending on
the chosen level. The Sponsors and Association Action cards are used for all
difficulties. For L1-L3 use only the cards that are marked green in the upper right
corner of the Build, Cards and Animals Action cards, for L4-L6 use the cards that
are marked red instead.
DIFFICULTY LEVELS:
SETUP 8
Level 1 (L1) - Beginner
Sort ARNO‘s 8 zoo cards according to type:
former easy
- Discard all Sponsor cards.
Level 2* (L2) - Very easy
- ARNO keeps a maximum of 4
cards. He keeps all Conservation Level 3 (L3) - Easy
former medium
Project cards (maximum of 4).
- If ARNO now has kept less than 4 Level 4* (L4) - Medium
cards, he additionally keeps Animals Level 5 (L5) - Hard
cards (up to 4 total). Level 6* (L6) - Very hard
BREAKS
During the breaks, ARNO draws 3 cards from the deck. He keeps the first
Conservation Project card and plays the first Animal Card to his zoo mat. The
played Animal card might trigger a bonus effect for the human player(s). The
other cards are discarded.
