Tatay works in the post office. He is there from Monday to Friday. He helps people in
many ways. He weighs letters and packages, and puts stamps on them. He counts money.
He uses the computer, too. His job is very important.
Tatay likes to be at home too. On weekends, he feels happy to cook dinner for us.
Usually, he cooks Italian food. On Saturdays, he wants to make spaghetti. On Sundays, he
makes pizza. Sometimes, he fries chicken and cooks Chinese food. Nanay cuts the
vegetables and tosses the salad. I love washing the dishes. Manang sets the table. We
help to prepare things in order.
It is strange for a man to cook. Tatay enjoys his hobby. He cherishes us.
Working hard to support us and cooking delicious and healthful food are Tatay’s ways of
showing his love to us – his family.
