Advocating SBM WinS an Address to Parents

Good Day!

The DepEd WinS Program is designed to achieve learning and health outcomes of
Filipino students through a comprehensive, sustainable, and scalable school-based WASH
program pursuant to the State’s mandate to defend the right of children to dignity, assistance,
and protection from conditions that would hamper their development.
The purpose of DepEd WinS Program implementation in every school is to achieve
learning and health outcomes of every learner trough a comprehensive, sustainable school-
based WASH program for the assistance and protection of every child conditions that would
hinder their development.
My dear parents, if our school is lack of enough water supply, no available toilet and
absence of handwashing facilities, learners are unaware of proper hygiene and sanitation this
are a big challenge. The situation will be considered as contributor to learners growth and
academic performance since they are always getting sick. If they got sick, tendency are frequent
absenteeism and later leads to drop out.
They will be uninterested of going to school because they can’t do personal necessities
like using the toilet. Likewise, here in school they will be taught of practicing proper hygiene and
sanitation. These learning in school can be applied if they are in their respective home. There
are many health related issues due to improper hygiene.
Therefore, my dear parents, I am asking you support to our WASH in School program
implementation. Please help us advocating by means of monitoring your children if they are
home. Listen to them if they want to share their learnings in school. Likewise, we are asking
your support for the sustainability of our programs by means of sponsoring some of the needed
materials in our classrooms, water supply for your children’s consumptions and health kit.
We can’t achieve our school mission and vision without your support my dear parents.
Let us work hand in hand and be a community of life long learners.
