Activity 1.

The Johari Windows

1. What did you learn after doing the Johari Windows activity?
I have gained knowledge from the activity. The Johari Windows were designed to
help us understand how our interactions with people affect our attitudes and
personalities. Either we both understood who we are as people and how to
change the things of ourselves that make other people uncomfortable before we
ask ourselves to change them. As I was participating in the activity, I advised
myself to go more into the person I used to be; with their assistance, I questioned
my genuine self while managing my actual self in front of them.

2. Why is it essential to understand the self?

Living in a world requires understanding oneself, which is crucial. We
frequently question ourselves why we act in certain ways or why we do certain
things because we are interested in discovering our true selves. In summary,
self-awareness is the ability to learn what is best for us or to change the
specific way we are accustomed to doing in response to how others see us.

3. How will it help me as a student and as a person?

It aids students and individuals in developing a sense of self-awareness about
how to market themselves to others and what it takes to make other people
aware of your existence. For instance, you might be invited to a party with a lot of
people, but you know in your heart that you don't like loud environments, so you
regulate yourself around them. Professors should be mindful of their students'
self-consciousness because not everyone learns anything new right once, even if
doing so can help them interact with others and consider their plans. Being
conscious of oneself affects how one demands of others.
