What is the difference between goals and objectives essay?

Goals on one hand are aims that are set on a long term basis which an individuals or an
organization hopes to achieve after a given period of time. Objectives on the other hand
are more concrete and specific and their attainability is set for a relatively shorter

A goal is an achievable outcome that is generally broad and longer term while an
objective is shorter term and defines measurable actions to achieve an overall goal.
While different, the two terms are often used in unison when working on a project.

What is the difference between goals and objectives in education?


Learning Objectives are different from goals in that objectives are narrow, discrete
intentions of student performance, whereas goals articulate a global statement of
intent. Objectives are measurable and observable, while goals are not.
