Wuthering heights
Author:
The author of this book is Emily Brontë, she was born in
Thornton Colorado in 1818, and died in 1848, she was a
narrator and created the extraordinary novel “wuthering
heights” in 1847, considered the most iconic in the
victorian romantic narrative.

Characters:

I’ve made an genealogic tree because to be honest, it was so confusing

identifying every character, and their relation between the
two families.

The most important character is Lockwood, he manage to get

information about the family and characters living in wuthering

heights, but he lives in another manor called Thrushcross Grange, his principal
objective in the history is to affect directly to the plot of the history.

But the principal character is Heathcliff, he is an orphan kid who Mr. Earnshaw
adopted in one of his trips, he is in love with Catherine Earnshaw, but she
decided to marry Edgar Linton, Heathcliff’s brother-in-law.

Plot:

The plot in wuthering heights starts when Lockwood decided to do a second visit
to the manor wuthering heights and experience a lot of things in that place, in the
firsts chapters he tells from a realistic point of view what happened that night and
it catches the attetion when he tries to reveal why they act that way, and when he
search a place to stay during a snow storm he found a chamber where a kid was
living and leave notes that she was suffering, so then, Lockwood starts
investigating about this family and his servant started revealing things from the
family side of the Lintons cause she lived with them and knows them very well.
Personal endorsement:
I think this book is very interesting because she presents the familiy from a very
interesthing point of view, I loved how the point of view from Lockwood was
realistic but a the same time, the way that he see things is different because
even if Heathcliff didn’t extended his hand to him, he reffered to Heathcliff as a
gentleman and that he had good manners.
Personal opinion:
The book was really good, I loved the story but it was hard for me to comprehend
who was talking and whom was it reffered when a dialogue appear. At first I had
confusion when Lockwood presented a person of “coloured skin” and didn’t
identificate him, so I didn’t know who was it in the story and made a genealogic
tree to understand more every character.
