1: Math’s in Nature
and Arts
Some people believe that mathematics consists
entirely of the application of complicated formulas and
calculations that have no real - world application. However,
mathematics is not only about numbers; it is a language of
the universe that succeeds at describing the real world.
Mathematical concepts are followed all the time. The way
mathematics appear in unexpected circumstances will shock
you. Math is everywhere. Math is in the nature like the flower,
if you count the number of petals on the flower, you'll often
find the total to be one of the numbers in the Fibonacci
sequence. Also in the music those beautiful musical
relationships were also a beautiful mathematical relationship.
According to Plato geometry and mathematics exist in its own
world while on the other math is feels like discover rather than
invented or it just maybe a product of our brain. In the video it
also talk about the mathematics in the language of science.
The falling object of Aristotle believed that objects fall at a
speed that is proportional to their weight. In other word the
heavier the object the faster it fall. While according to Galileo
everything we fall would accelerate at the same rate
regardless of their size and weight. With the help of
mathematics we were able to predict the size, location and
the timing of natural hazards and also we are able to forecast
the weather. Using the mathematical tools we create models
which correspond to what we can measure and observe in
the world of reality.
