Read pages 50-64 in Sánchez (2009), review your class notes and answer the
following questions. Make sure you justify your responses.
a) Do you think that Berlitz’s method is able to cater for all levels of English and
students’ ages? Why? Why not?
b) How demanding is this method for the teacher in comparison with the G-T and
Ollendorff’s “practical method”? Make reference to the role of the student in
your answer as well.
