Fatigue Life Estimation of Component for Reversed/ Fluctuating Loads
SOFTWARE SOLUTION: -

Procedure for Analysis:

It consists ANSYS results and Nature of flow. Following steps should be follow to get required
solution.
1. Open ANSYS workbench. (By double click on symbol shows on desktop.)

2. Select Static Structural option from tool box and drag it to project schematic.

5. Select Mesh in that select sizing- use advanced size functions and make it off after that click on
Generate. It took some time to generate mesh.

6. Select static structural and right click then insert and apply boundary condition to part body select
fixed support and apply to one end of body and then select the other end and apply the force (1000 N)
such that it will act as a tensile force.

CONCLUSION: Finite Element Analysis of the Tie Rod has been done using ANSYS
Workbench. From the results obtained the behaviour of Tie Rod under fatigue load is observed: -
1. The Maximum Life of Tie Rod is 1. e+006 cycles.
2. Maximum Damage To the component is 1000.
3. The Maximum Equivalent Alternating Stress generated in Component is 1.2832 Mpa.
