1. What is the problem in the case in terms of talent attrition or challenges of retaining talent?
The turnover of freshly recruited GO's is a concern that organisations encounter in terms of talent
attrition. Over the last few years, the turnover rate has been over 50%. And the majority of them were
North American GO's. The acceptable amount of turnover is 25%, although the real figure is double
that.
Given the size of the recruiting pool and the time and expense associated with the recruitment and
onboarding process, a turnover rate of 50% is a significant concern. The Organization received 1300
resumes every season. All resumes must be reviewed and shortlisted for further rounds. However, North
American resumes were produced and were supposed to be innovative, as well as overestimate their
talents. As a result, selected candidates will be interviewed for 30 minutes.

2. What is the cause of the problem?

The Organization has some bouquet of ideas what is causing the difficulty. There are just a few apparent
causes: -(1) The Organization's long and hectic work hours he racial distinctions between GOs and
Chiefs. (2) The American GO must report to the European commander. As an example, it was said that a
French GO will perform the task exactly as specified, but the American must be described why and how it
would do better than what is presently in place, as well as the response. It was difficult for European
Chiefs to manage American GO. (3)The policy in which all GOs would rotate around various
communities every six months. (Such a short duration)

3. What can be done to solve the problem in near future?

The Organization had devised a few solutions to these issues:
i. First, they discovered that certain village leaders shot twice as many GOs as other chiefs. So,
if the village chiefs participate in the recruiting process, they will learn how difficult it is to
locate good GOs.
ii. Establishing a GO training Centre in the Club's new Sandpaper Village in Florida. As one of
the causes for turnover is that the GO was given a low review by the village chief, a training
school would aid in understanding the GO and what exactly has to be provided.
iii. Tracking the finest GOs for firm progress. Meeting with each GO who has been recognized
as having high potential and learning about their interests would minimize turnover.
iv. Reducing the rotation pattern and allocating GOs to the community for a year rather than a
season.

4. What should be done to avoid the problem in the future?

a. Even before onboarding, understanding applicant preferences may be beneficial. Travel and less
cost of sustaining him/herself are main reasons applicants pick the company, but the location they
are given causes an issue.
b. Assigning American GOs to American chiefs and soliciting ideas from them may be beneficial.
c. Policy flexibility regarding rotation.
