Activity 2

A. Explain the meaning of the word Trinity.

The Latin word trinitas, which means "three" or "triad," is where the word "Trinity"
originates. According to Christian teaching, the Trinity is the union of the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead. One of the fundamental Christian
claims about God is the notion of the Trinity. The foundation of it lies in the fact that God
met Christians in three different ways: first, as Creator, Lord of the history of salvation,
Father, and Judge, as revealed in the Old Testament; second, as the Lord who, in the
incarnated figure of Jesus Christ, lived among humans and was present in their midst as
the "Resurrected One;" and third, as the Holy Spirit, whom they experienced as the helper
or intercessor in the power of the new life. The Trinity is actually one God who exists in
three people. Please note that this does not imply that there are three gods. When
researching this topic, keep in mind that Scripture does not use the word "Trinity." The
triune God—three coexistent, coeternal persons who make up God—is described by this
word. The fact that Scripture contains references to the idea embodied by the word
"Trinity" is extremely significant.

B. Explain the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church no. 45

The Catholic Church's Catechism is not meant to be replaced in any way by the
Compendium; rather, it frequently refers to it through reference numbers printed in the
margins and by consistently relying on its organization, development, and substance. In
truth, the Compendium is aimed to reinvigorate interest in and passion for the Catechism,
which, in the wisdom of its presentation and the depth of its spirituality, always remains
the essential book for catechesis in the Church today. This is how it is described in
Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, No. 48: The Church declares that
she believes in the oneness of God, who is made up of three Persons: The Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit. Because each of the three divine Persons has the entirety of the
singular, indivisible divine nature, they are all three equally one God. Due to the
relationships that relate them to one another, they are actually quite different from one
another. The Son is generated by the Father; the Father generates the Son; and the Holy
Spirit is a byproduct of the Father and the Son.

Activity 3

A. Reflection/Journal Writing: How can I show the Trinity to others?

According to the doctrine of the Trinity, there is one God who manifests himself in three
different ways: as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. While the three
members of the Trinity are each equally and completely God in their own right, they all
nonetheless belong to the same God. The Trinity is taught in the Bible from the very first
moments of creation. The majority of Christians, however, hold that the Trinity, the name
for the one God who is perceived as three distinct persons, is the only God. The Holy Spirit,
the Son, and the Father are these three individuals. The Nicene Creed, a declaration of
Christian belief, serves as a major authority for upholding this assertion. Therefore, we
share the amazing blessing of being co-creators in our families and our physical
surroundings as God's sons and daughters. We ought to give thanks to God every day for
the miracle of his creation, the magnificent planet we inhabit, and the gift of one another!
According to Christian faith, the Trinity is the union of the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit into a single Godhead. One of the fundamental Christian claims about God is the
notion of the Trinity.
B. Prayer Writing: Compose a Trinitarian prayer of thanksgiving: thanking the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit for the great event of salvation.

We praise you, Most Gracious Father, for your unwavering love. Thank you for sending Christ to
die for us when we were still sinners, demonstrating to us the depth of your love. We are grateful
to you, Lord, for giving us the priceless gift of eternal life through Christ, our Lord. The earth is full
of your glorious name! Your majesty surpasses the heavens! We will extol your name for all
eternity because you have all knowledge and power. Our faith is in you, Lord. Also, Jesus, my
Savior, thank you for making sure that your love and mercy will continue to surround me
throughout the rest of my life. Lord, I thank you because you are the Good Shepherd who leads
me to the pleasant aspects of life. I am grateful that you are the one who feeds my spirit and fills
me with your goodness for all time. I give thanks to the Holy Spirit as well; you have blessed me
with a loving family and friends that think and act kindly toward me every day. I am encouraged
in ways that keep my thoughts on you and improve my spirits. Thank you, Lord, for protecting me
as well. You shield me from things that other people appear to be haunted by.

Amen
