Carrefour’s history starts sixty years ago. Carrefour’s founded by Marcel Fournier. Marcel
Fournier is entrepreneur. Marcel Fernier open first France hyper market. But who knows this
journey goes very far. This is the starting of Carrefour’s market. So in below section we discuss

Carrefour’s journey began 1959. There are two people who started

In 1993 Carrefour’s grown international. Carrefour market first open in Italy in 1993. And then
open in china 1995.

1996, Carrefour inclusive tackle food wastage

This group made his first agreement with food banks to help poor and reduce food wastage.

1999, 2nd largest hyper market

In 1999 Carrefour’s become 2nd largest retail business in world with 240000 employees and 9000
stores.

In 2000

In year 2000 Carrefour starting take off. And launches its online market with 6000 products
including fresh products. In this year they also launched Carrefour hyper market in Belgium,
Poland, Italy, Brazil, Argentina.

In 2009

In 2009 Carrefour launched in Pakistan. Today Carrefour operate 7 hyper market or 2 super
market job in Carrefour Pakistan.

it is used in all over Pakistan since 2009. When we started our journey in Pakistan. We update
this software time by time. And we use this software for our day to day business transaction and

us in this way that it maximizes our company performance by giving step by step gaudiness and
it also helpful building infrastructure of company.

Why they used SAP ERP software according to them it is best to use because they think it is
more helpful in risk management. They also told me that Carrefour upgraded its It system
towards cloud based technology and we migrate our important information into one Carrefour
network. Therefore, we using SAP solutions. Because we use SAP from earlier. Or this is
convenient for us to use.

Then I ask cost of SAP software they are using for their hyper market. They told me that it is
very costly ERP software.

Then I ask from them about the advantages of SAP. They told me the following advantages some
of them are following

they use SAP software in all departments.

Then I ask what improvements done after adopting SAP software. They told me that when we
have manual system some fraud is occur but after adopting this improvement in business.

In 2011 SAP continues innovation or start to invest in cloud computing. In 2015 SAP launches
4th generation business suite. This help customer to become intelligent enterpriser. SAP tight his
grip in e-commerce or cloud computing.
