Human rights

Human rights are fundamental rights that all of us have just by virtue
of our humanity. They exemplify important societal ideals such as
fairness, dignity, equality, and respect.

They are a crucial form of protection for all of us, especially those who
may be subjected to abuse, neglect, or isolation. Most importantly,
these rights empower us and allow us to speak up and protest poor
treatment by a public authority.
